Meet Christine Brinkman

We recently connected with Christine Brinkman and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Christine , thank you for being such a positive, uplifting person. We’ve noticed that so many of the successful folks we’ve had the good fortune of connecting with have high levels of optimism and so we’d love to hear about your optimism and where you think it comes from.
My optimism stems from a lifelong perspective of seeing the glass as half full. Even in the face of adversity, I consciously choose to focus on the positive aspects and reflect on my blessings to avoid getting stuck in negativity. My greatest influence in cultivating this outlook is my mother, Belinda Galvan. As the eldest of six children, she embodies hard work, a deep love for her faith, and views each day as a precious gift from God. She maintains a steadfast commitment to avoiding gossip and pessimism. One of her favorite phrases, when shifting from a negative to a positive perspective, is, “The beauty of it…” She instilled in me the importance of failing forward, using setbacks as opportunities for growth and learning. Meeting my mom, you can’t help but be drawn to her radiant presence, as she truly is a beacon of light in any room she enters.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I’m Christine, the heart and soul behind Babes Support Babes, LLC. I’m a firestarter for female entrepreneurship and a fierce advocate for women’s empowerment. Back in 2018, I birthed BSB as a small business hub for women. Since then, it’s flourished into a thriving sisterhood, uniting over 100 incredible women. I recently opened the Babes Support Babes Co-Space a women’s only co-working and event space. I am currently working on bringing Babies Support Babes membership community to the surrounding areas of San Antonio, TX. At BSB, we’re all about building a network grounded in genuine friendship.

Beyond business, my faith is my anchor. “Love Thy Neighbor” lit the spark for BSB, and it still fuels every move I make, both in work and life.

My faith is woven into every facet of my existence. I find my sanctuary in quiet moments with my Bible and journal, in moving my body to connect with my soul, and in sharing meals with my cherished tribe. Crafting is another passion of mine; there’s something magical about bringing visions to life.

My heart beats for my family, those soul-stirring conversations sprinkled with laughter and raw honesty, for making my friends feel deeply valued, and my ever-growing collection of journals, books, and candles. Every endeavor, both in my personal and professional life, is rooted in fostering connections that truly matter.

As your guide, my mission is to embolden you to seize your passions and chase your dreams with unbridled courage. I’m a firm believer that with the right community, encouragement, and resources, there’s no limit to what you can achieve.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Looking back, I can’t help but see three key elements that have woven the tapestry of my journey with Babes Support Babes:

1. Vision: It’s been the North Star guiding my every move. This clear vision has not only shaped decisions but has been the heartbeat of this community. It’s led me to fruitful partnerships, and provided crystal-clear direction for every step and opportunity along the way.

2. Connection: This journey would have been a mere daydream without the incredible souls who rallied around me. Family, friends, coaches, and our devoted members — they’ve been the beating heart of this movement. Together, we’ve transformed a dream into a living, breathing community.

3. Resilience: The battle cries of “Keep going” and “Press on” have echoed in the quiet moments of doubt. There’ve been valleys, moments where ideas fell flat, but each setback has been a lesson in tenacity. Through these trials, I’ve emerged stronger and more determined than ever.

For those just beginning this adventure, hear this:

1. Dream Big and Bold: Let your vision be vivid, let it stir your soul. It’s your guiding light, your roadmap to the extraordinary. With it, you’ll navigate uncharted waters and carve out your unique path.

2. Lean on Your Tribe: You’re not in this alone. Your people, your tribe, they’re your backbone. Seek out mentors, lean on your friends, and find strength in those who believe in you. They’ll carry you when the load feels too heavy.

3. Embrace the Journey: Understand that setbacks are simply setups for comebacks. When you stumble, don’t see it as a stop sign, but rather a detour leading to greater things. Resilience will be your secret weapon.

Remember, your dream is worth every ounce of effort. With vision, connection, and resilience, you’ll uncover a path that’s uniquely yours. Keep pressing on, and you’ll be astounded at the heights you’ll reach.

Thanks so much for sharing all these insights with us today. Before we go, is there a book that’s played in important role in your development?
“Restless” by Jennie Allen holds a special place in my heart, as it served as the spark that ignited my vision for creating a women’s community back in 2015.

“God has uniquely prepared you. The dreams He has given us are worth it.” This quote is my daily encouragement I cling to when it gets hard.

“Restless” has been an unwavering source of inspiration and guidance throughout my journey. It’s a reminder that our dreams and callings are not random but divinely orchestrated, and that they are worth every effort we invest in them. The book’s wisdom continues to shape my path and serve as a guiding light in the pursuit of my vision for a thriving women’s community.
