Meet Christine Conti

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Christine Conti. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Christine, thank you so much for making time for us. We’ve always admired your ability to take risks and so maybe we can kick things off with a discussion around how you developed your ability to take and bear risk?

People ask me all the time how I became someone who takes risks like it’s a built-in reflex. The truth? I didn’t wake up one morning fearless. My courage came from living through enough plot twists to realize that the ground only feels steady when you learn to stand on your own two feet—no matter what’s shaking beneath you. Sports taught me the early lessons: lean into discomfort, trust your training, show up even when everything in you wants to quit. But life handed me the real education. Depression. Sexual Abuse. Eating Disorders. Self-Doubt. A diagnosis that could have stopped me. Careers that ended before I was ready. Seasons of questioning my worth and uncertainty that forced me to decide who I wanted to be. Each moment required what I now call split-second courage—that tiny window where you either freeze… or you move.

Over time, I learned that courage isn’t lightning striking. It’s a choice. A repeatable skill. A muscle you build by doing the hard thing one more time, and then again, and again. Guiding athletes with physical and intellectual challenges, racing alongside people who redefine “impossible,” starting businesses with zero guarantees—those experiences cracked me open in the best way. They reminded me that fear is loud, but purpose is louder. That hesitation is human, but action is transformative. That every risk, no matter how small, is a vote for the person you’re becoming.

So no, I’m not fearless. I’m practiced. I’ve learned to step forward before the excuses catch up, to trust that the leap teaches you something the ledge never will. My ability to take risks comes from choosing—over and over—to bet on myself, to chase meaning more than comfort, and to write a life I’m not afraid to actually live. That’s split-second courage. And we all have it! Anything is Possible!

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

I’ve spent the last two decades building a career around one mission: to help people realize that ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE. Today, I’m the CEO of FitFixNow, founder of ContiFit, co-owner of Two Fit Crazies and a Microphone Podcast, best-selling author, TruthSpeaks365 Keynote speaker, and a chronic disease fitness specialist who travels the world guiding athletes of all abilities—including those with physical and intellectual challenges—for the Chris Nikic 1% Better Foundation.

My work spans education, fitness, coaching, speaking, and content creation, but the heart of it is always the same: empowering people with the knowledge, tools, and courage to take control of their health and their lives. Whether I’m teaching a workshop, racing alongside an athlete, building CEU courses for fitness pros, or speaking to a room full of students, I want people to walk away believing in themselves 1% more than when they walked in.

What makes my work so special is that it’s deeply personal. After a life-changing diagnosis, I rebuilt my life, step by step, into something bolder, more meaningful, and more aligned with who I am. That experience fuels everything I create—especially Split-Second Courage, the mindset that drives my speaking, coaching, and course development. I love bridging the gap between college and career through education-based mentorship, helping exercise science and kinesiology students find confidence, direction, and real opportunities in the field. I also thrive on creating programs that meet people exactly where they are—whether that’s a busy professional trying to get healthy, a fitness instructor earning CEUs, or a student discovering their potential.

Right now, I’m focused on expanding FitFixNow’s reach across colleges and universities, growing my speaking platforms, and developing new workshops like Future-Proof Fitness, Exercise Inclusivity, Cancer Fitness, and Creating Powerful Workshops & Keynotes. I’m also continuing to race, guide, and tell the stories that remind us all that courage isn’t something we wait for—it’s something we choose. My brand is bold, evidence-based, human-centered, and built on the belief that small, consistent actions can change entire lives. And honestly, I’m just getting started.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Looking back, the three qualities that shaped my entire journey were resilience, relentless curiosity, and the willingness to take imperfect action. Resilience came from life itself—navigating a diagnosis, changing careers, rebuilding my identity, and choosing to keep moving even on the days when it felt impossible. Curiosity kept me learning, growing, and earning certifications long after most people would’ve stopped. And taking imperfect action allowed me to build FitFixNow, ContiFit, my speaking career, and my work with the 1% Better Foundation long before I felt “ready.” Those qualities showed me that courage isn’t something you’re born with—it’s something you build over time, in tiny decisions, one split second at a time.

For anyone early in their journey, my advice is simple: start before you’re confident and let the confidence catch up. You don’t develop resilience by avoiding discomfort—you develop it by stepping into challenges and proving to yourself that you can withstand them. Build your curiosity by staying open to learning: take courses, ask questions, read obsessively, and surround yourself with people who know more than you do. And when it comes to taking action, stop waiting for the perfect moment—it doesn’t exist. You learn by doing. You grow by trying. And you evolve by showing up again and again, even when you’re scared.

Above all, remember this: success is not about talent, luck, or timing. It’s about showing up with courage, staying curious, and refusing to quit when life gets messy. If you can commit to those three things, you’ll be amazed at where you can go—and who you can become. Yes! You Can!

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?

Yes — I am always looking to partner with people and organizations who are passionate about education, health, and creating meaningful change. I love collaborating with universities, fitness and wellness professionals, corporate wellness teams, nonprofits, and leaders who believe in inclusivity, mentorship, and empowering the next generation. Whether it’s developing CEU courses, co-hosting workshops, speaking at events, creating campus programs, or guiding athletes with the 1% Better Foundation, I’m excited to work with people who want to elevate others, challenge outdated norms, and build opportunities that didn’t exist before. If you’re someone who values innovation, integrity, and impact, then yes—we should absolutely connect.
