Meet Christine Germain

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Christine Germain a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Christine , great to have you with us today and excited to have you share your wisdom with our readers. Over the years, after speaking with countless do-ers, makers, builders, entrepreneurs, artists and more we’ve noticed that the ability to take risks is central to almost all stories of triumph and so we’re really interested in hearing about your journey with risk and how you developed your risk-taking ability.

I developed the ability to task risk when i realized that when you don’t push yourself nothing will ever come to fruition. Remaining stagnent in life never gets you anywhere. When a person doesn’t see growth that question why arent they succeeding and moving up the ladder. I am a daredevil; i love stepping out of my comfort zone and trying new things and whether i fail or succeed in that, at least i can say i tried as opposed to not doing anything at all.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

Well to start. i am from Brooklyn New York born and raised and i am an award winning best selling author to the dark horror series The Brother’s Curse. I find writing to be theraputic and it’s been a passion of mine from a very young age. Reading horror novels from Clive Barker, Dean Koontz, R.L Stine and and watching stephen king movie adaptions from his books inspired me to create soopie tales for people of color especially woman of color that weren’t seen as heroins or final girls in that particular genre.

I love wrtiing multiple genres as well like supernatural, mystery thriller and paranormal romance. As of right now i have a on going book series titled The Brother’s Curse Saga which has 3 books so far and Book 4 titled Fazarell. I am extremely excited for this upcoming tetralogy because it’s the beginning of the expansion of the universe in my series and the story takes on so many dark elements but also has more romnace which i am sure my fans and readers will be happy about.

Book 4 Fazarell will be coming out in late Fall of 2024.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

I think having patience, a strong will to keep pushing myself and also believing in myself and my craft knowing that i was blessed with a talent that i am very grateful for. I would tell otheres who are pursuing their careers to just focus and remain humble during your journey. Its never a straught line and there are always obsticles along the way but never give up.

What do you do when you feel overwhelmed? Any advice or strategies?

I usually will drop everything and take a walk or go out and eat my favorite meal or evcen watch a new movie i haven’t seen yet. Sometimes to rid of the noises in your head you have to clear your mind with things that make you happy and calm.
