Meet Christine Rogerson

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Christine Rogerson. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Christine with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?

I’m fortunate to have had many incredible influences on my work ethic and leadership style. I’d say that a lot starts with your parents and family members. My mom inspired my thirst for knowledge and learning from an early age and modeled this herself. My dad was also a thought partner in my early management journey. I was so fortunate to have had many family members who encouraged and supported my aspirations, never diminishing my goals as being out of my reach.

This extended through both grade school and university, as I was given a lot of leeway to advance and test my mettle in student leadership. From booking school dances at 16 to working on concerts and events in my early twenties, I felt so privileged to have responsibility and multiple opportunities to grow. Then as I grew in my career in the music business, I had some absolutely incredible mentors who coached and helped me to navigate various professional challenges and developmental milestones.

Those are the external inputs, but a great deal of it also comes down to who you are as a person. You have to inherently possess a certain drive or gumption. The aforementioned people helped me to hone and feel confident in my abilities, which motivated me to push further. I needed to have that fundamental drive within me, but it just as easily could have been diminished versus nurtured and then I wouldn’t necessarily be where I am today.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

I’m the SVP of Business Operations at Vibee, the music-led destination experience company founded by Live Nation. We strive to create memorable music experiences for fans in incredible destinations around the world. We provide them the opportunity to immerse themselves in the best live music and entertainment events – both on-land and at-sea. Vibee curates hotel takeovers, yacht weeks, bespoke cruises, interactive experiences, and unique festival packages. Our niche is creating transformative moments and memories for fans that will last a lifetime. Some of the experiences we’ve executed include large-scale activations with U2, Dead & Company, The Eagles, Lionel Richie, Tiesto, EDC Las Vegas, and even more.

I’m at the helm of operations at Vibee – both on-the-ground and behind-the-scenes. Since our inception in 2023, I’m most proud of how I’ve successfully transformed the company’s structure and scale. I built and expanded our “Fan Experience Team” to support and assist thousands of concertgoers and visitors. The structure I spearheaded – inclusive of staffing, logistics, production oversight, and financial management – has become the template for all of the marquee Vibee experiences.

We have a really busy and exciting summer season coming up. We’re joining forces with an incredible, diverse slate of artists and have an experience for every type of music fan out there. First on deck is Hotel EDC in May, the exclusive hotel partner for the world’s largest dance music festival, EDC Las Vegas. With must-see, exclusive DJ sets, official pool parties, and immersive activations on-property, Hotel EDC truly brings the colorful world of EDC to the heart of Vegas. This “everything EDC” experience completely sold out in 2024, and we’re really eager for fans to see what’s in store for our third year.

As you may have noticed in the headlines, Kenny Chesney and the Backstreet Boys will be making history at Sphere as the first ever country and pop acts (respectively) to play the mind-blowing venue this summer. Vibee is the official Concert & Hotel Experience Package partner for both residencies, and we’re looking forward to seeing both artists’ fans create new, indelible memories connected to the music. Kenny Chesney fans can also check out the “Guitars, Tiki Bars, and a Whole Lotta Love” space, which will be taking over two stories at The Venetian Resort Las Vegas. Vibee is curating it in partnership with the country legend – it’s going to be such a fun destination where people can congregate to celebrate his anthemic music and artistic legacy.

Later this summer, we’re honored to be partnering with global music sensation Bad Bunny on his ‘No me quiero ir de aquí’ hometown residency at Coliseo de Puerto Rico José Miguel Agrelot. It’s going to be a memorable celebration of Puerto Rican pride. Vibee is the official VIP Experience Package provider, offering an array of exclusive perks for the artist’s biggest fans. And for guests flying into the island to see the show, they can select a VIP Concert & Hotel Package for an enjoyable two-night stay at one of our premium hotel partners.

We’re closing out the season with a full circle moment for EDM fans when UNITY kicks off during Labor Day Weekend. We’re collaborating with our friends at Insomniac and Tomorrowland for the debut of this audiovisual spectacle, which will immerse attendees in a 360 experience truly like no other.

If you’re interested in any of these summer experiences or Vibee’s additional events throughout the year, you can visit Vibee.com. Hope to see you there!

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

While it’s difficult to pinpoint three, I would say that having a growth mindset and being a collaborator have been key in terms of how I approach leadership, management, and self development. I love learning and growing my skills. With each new experience I encounter, I feel more acutely aware of how much I still can learn. Sometimes that can be a frustrating feeling, but most of the time, it can be so exciting and an area of opportunity. Coupling that mindset with collaboration speaks to my core values in how I lead my team, connect with peers, and operate in the music/live entertainment industry. I enjoy bringing people together for a common cause, working closely with others to creatively problem solve, and of course, learning along the way.

Another impactful perspective in my journey has been that I generally do not ask someone to do something that I either haven’t done or am not willing to do myself. I feel like this builds trust and credibility with my team and also allows me to support them in the best possible way.

I believe these attributes and perspectives are choices that you make every day, but they are also easy ones to scaffold and from which you can see success building. In the early stages of your career, having a growth mindset and being collaborative are ways of bridging the gap between your own lack of experience and an earnestness to develop. As you start to gain knowledge and experience, you will start to bring even more strength and perspective to your work endeavors. You’ll likely even be sought out because of the wisdom that you bring to conversations, problem solving, and ideation. I appreciate confidence and boldness in advancing your career, but you only get so far if you do not have the expertise needed to achieve your goals and the teamwork skills required to maximize your output.

Alright so to wrap up, who deserves credit for helping you overcome challenges or build some of the essential skills you’ve needed?

They say that it takes a village to raise a family… I think that adage can be true to many areas of life, including one’s career. The support of my husband and children has been instrumental in giving me the space and time to prioritize my professional development. I have found some amazing peers who have similar mindsets and prioritize self development, which helps me hold space for discussion of new ideas or challenging concepts. I have had good people in my circle that have encouraged, pushed, and inspired me. Surround yourself with those who bring out the best in you. It’s not always easy, but it is worth the effort.
