We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Christine Winget a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Christine , so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?
My purpose found me. A new me, after a long marriage.
Then
A new relationship.
Encouragement and support from family and friends.
A love of crystals.
A trip to Quartzsite with a couple grand in our pockets.
A cloudy dream.
The birth of Earth’s Candy Crystals.
Traveling and vending and sharing sweet vibe crystals.
Learning more.
Getting holistically certified in energy work.
Massage school.
Expanding my massage practice.
Sound healing.
Healing aspects merge. Energy, touch, sound, mindfulness, wellness.
Everyday I wake up happy, grateful and I am living my best life with purpose.
Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
My business allows me to live my best life. The balance of energy between helping people healing through massage and mindfulness blended with the energetic life that vending crystals bring to me is very rewarding. Earth’s Candy Crystals was born from wanting to bring a mindful positive lifestyle to others. I love the vending aspect of my business. I know it may seem like a lot of work basically setting up a whole crystal store wherever you go but I find it very meditative. I love meeting, talking and learning from new people, going to new events and places. I also love being at home, so I have a crystal studio in my living room along with a healing room, where I do Wellness events, Sound Baths and get togethers.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Work as hard or harder for yourself than you do for someone else. This is one I still struggle with. I have a hardcore work ethic when it comes to others but when reflected, I sometimes will put things on the back burners. I have to stay focused and honor myself the way I would others.
Show up. Everyday. Do your best as that given moment. Be gentle with yourself during difficult times and allow your mistakes to make you smarter.
Having a small business is hard work, if you don’t love it, you won’t do it.
How would you spend the next decade if you somehow knew that it was your last?
Spending more quality time with all the people I love.
