Meet Christopher Creese

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Christopher Creese. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Christopher below.

Christopher, thanks so much for taking the time to share your insights and lessons with us today. We’re particularly interested in hearing about how you became such a resilient person. Where do you get your resilience from?
My late parents immigrated to the United States from St. Vincent and the Grenadines in the ’80s. Seeing how hard they worked to make a life for themselves and for my brother and myself is my constant inspiration to keep going even when things are bleak.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I’m a photographer and filmmaker that specializes in commercial and editorial work, with a preference around work that is related to music and entertainment. I’ve spoken on a panel recently as a headline speaker and I’ve done photojournalism at The White House over the summer of 2023. Currently, I’m looking for a manager to help get to the next phase of my career.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
I think three qualities that helped me in my journey are curiosity, resilience and drive. Having the curiosity to experiment with new things, new ideas, new ways of thinking, resilience to keep going when things go horribly wrong and drive to push through all the way to the end. The best way to develop these skills is to just do it where you’re at. Start small and let those wins snowball into bigger wins.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?
I’m definitely in a space where I’m looking for people to partner and collaborate with! Other creatives whose work is outside of photography and film, tech brands, musicians. I would love to create short film work with those types of creatives.
