Meet Christopher Noel

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Christopher Noel. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Christopher, so good to have you with us today. We’ve got so much planned, so let’s jump right into it. We live in such a diverse world, and in many ways the world is getting better and more understanding but it’s far from perfect. There are so many times where folks find themselves in rooms or situations where they are the only ones that look like them – that might mean being the only woman of color in the room or the only person who grew up in a certain environment etc. Can you talk to us about how you’ve managed to thrive even in situations where you were the only one in the room?
I often find myself in situations where I am the only black LGBTQ male in the room or invited to the table. I firmly believe that my presence signifies belonging. When I’m in the room, or seated at the table, I bring inherent value without the need to prove myself. Being is enough; it’s a space where I co-create and collaborate with remarkable minds, expanding our horizons together. The journey to this point has been more than a physical progression; it’s been a triumph over internal battles, a conquest of mental and spiritual challenges that accompany a path less traveled. Each step has been a testament to resilience, a commitment to self-discovery, and the courage to stand out in a world that often tries to standardize. Once you’ve conquered your inner battles, the possibilities become limitless.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I’m the proud brain behind 1154 Studios, a creative hub for photography and videography right here in Atlanta, GA. Seven years and counting in this thrilling journey! The name of my business is in homage to my incredible grandparents, dwellers of 1154 Smith Street, Atlanta, GA. They were the epitome of hard work; one was music’s biggest fan, while the other could feed the whole block with joy. Their synergy was pure magic. I strive to channel their honesty, adaptability, and reliability into everything I do. I am currently gearing up for season two of my podcast Cachet Chris with a few other film projects currently in the works.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Three words: Dream, Believe, Create. Without a dream, belief falters. Without belief, creation lies dormant. It’s like drifting aimlessly along life’s currents—a directionless existence. That’s no way to live. We’re all blessed with dreams and innate talents by the Divine. I firmly believe that by embracing our greatness, the universe aligns. However, it’s not an instant fix. There will be rugged grounds, unexpected cliffs, but persisting reveals the beauty beyond.

What was the most impactful thing your parents did for you?
The most impactful thing my parents did for me? They let me be me. They didn’t impose their insecurities, beliefs or dreams on mine; instead, they encouraged me to navigate life my way. Beyond granting me life itself, they blessed me with the liberty to shape my own journey, free from fear of rejection or disapproval. I will be forever grateful for that.
