Christopher, thank you so much for taking the time to share your lessons learned with us and we’re sure your wisdom will help many. So, one question that comes up often and that we’re hoping you can shed some light on is keeping creativity alive over long stretches – how do you keep your creativity alive?
As photographers, we often have to find a balance between client work and personal projects. I believe you can keep your creativity alive by participating in personal shoots or themed shoots that fit your brand and aesthetic. Themed shoots can allow you to express your creativity and network with other creative photographers. I also believe in community. As a photographer, it’s important to attend conferences and workshops that stimulate your growth and creativity. Finding a mentor and community of creative professionals can help you keep you creativity alive. I am a member of FlashMasters and the Professional Photographers of America. FlashMasters is an online community of professional photographers whom inspire others through education and awards. Therefore, there are many avenues to keep your creativity alive. Take time to invest in yourself and enhance your creativity and skills.

My company is Christopher Tashjian Photography. We offer professional, creative, and personalized photography services in Los Angeles, CA. We are available for travel. We specialize in weddings, portraits, quinceaneras, and engagements. We also photograph graduations during graduation season. We capture authentic moments, bold colors, and timeless memories. We specialize in flash photography, which allows us to capture beautiful images in any lighting scenario or weather condition. We are not limited by our environment or surroundings. If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Find a mentor that you admire and train with them. Be a part of a community that inspires you. Practice your skills and your craft. Believe in yourself and set attainable goals. Don’t quit when things get difficult. Patience and persistence are the keys to success. Learn from the masters so you can become a master. Work hard and have fun. Try new techniques. Stay in school. Attend conferences and workshops to expand your skills and your mind. Be better than you were yesterday, one day at a time. Mastery takes practice and practice makes masters.

I’m always looking for assistants to help me with lighting and gear. I’m always growing my team. I’m looking for strong and reliable lighting assistants that I can trust during my shoots.
