We were lucky to catch up with Christy & Devin Power recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Christy & Devin, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?

We found our purpose when we got pregnant with our baby boy. We started researching and really understanding what goes on and in our bodies. We wanted to create safe and natural products that you could use at any time in your life with full transparency on ingredients.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

My husband and I own a small tallow based skincare company called Rebel Tallow Co. Health is a very big part of our lives, we are very aware of what we put in and on our bodies.When we were deciding whether I wanted to go back to work or not after having our son, we decided that this would become my full time job so I could stay home. Our product line started small with just 3 different scented tallow balms as a moisturizer replacement that you could use head to toe. Then we struggled to find a clean sunscreen so we developed our Desert Guard. Once we got our momentum going we moved onto soap bars, body butters and lip balm. We have now just launched our first deodorant cream and we have many more things we are excited to experiment with in the future. We understand that the journey to a non-toxic lifestyle can be very overwhelming and we want to make things easier for other families and educate them along the way. We plan to continue to grow our business from home and help make skincare clean again.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

We were very driven, passionate and motivated to create a non toxic household. The journey can be taxing but if we could offer any advice it would be to stick with it no matter how hard it may seem. You, your body and your families with be grateful in the end.

How would you describe your ideal client?

Our ideal client is someone who is either already using Tallow based products or someone who is looking to start using these products for a natural skin care solution. We love to help educate new customers of all the benefits that a clean and healthy skin routine can offer.
