Christy, so excited to have you with us today. So much we can chat about, but one of the questions we are most interested in is how you have managed to keep your creativity alive.
As the owner of Brujas Botanica, I keep my creativity on alive by diving headfirst into the rich spiritual and cultural tapestry that surrounds me. Strolling past a stunning church with glass stained windows, binge-watching a thought-provoking spiritual documentary, traveling to Mexico to explore the cult of Santa Muerte, or soaking up the vibrant art in a local Latin American museum—everywhere I turn, inspiration is right there, daring me to embrace it.
Creating my designs is a profoundly spiritual experience. When crafting handmade pieces in honor of Santa Muerte, I channel her energy to guide me throughout the process. This ensures that every creation truly embodies her essence and represents her in the right light. For me, my spirituality and creativity go hand-in-hand, which is why I love so much what I do. Each piece is not just a design but a manifestation of my devotion and artistic vision, merging the mystical with the tangible in a way that brings profound meaning and joy to my work.

Bruja Botanica is all about “healing with my homegirls,” because much of my work focuses on empowering feminine energy. I achieve this through tarot readings, offering fixed candles, and sharing magical know-how via my Patreon. Plus, I create gift items designed to inspire a touch of magic in your everyday life. My offerings are crafted with intention and love, ensuring that each product and service not only uplifts but also strengthens the spiritual bond among us. At Bruja Botanica, I’m all about building a community of empowered, magical women who support and heal together.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Looking back on my journey with Bruja Botanica, these three qualities have been the most impactful : an unwavering connection to spiritual practices, a deep understanding of feminine empowerment, and a knack for creative expression. My spiritual practices, from tarot readings to channeling energies, have infused my work with authenticity and purpose. Understanding and empowering feminine energy has been at the heart of my mission, guiding me to create products and services that uplift and inspire. Additionally, my knack for creative expression has allowed me to craft unique, meaningful items that resonate deeply with those who seek a touch of magic in their lives.
