Meet Ciara Milton

We were lucky to catch up with Ciara Milton recently and have shared our conversation below.

Ciara, appreciate you making time for us and sharing your wisdom with the community. So many of us go through similar pain points throughout our journeys and so hearing about how others overcame obstacles can be helpful. One of those struggles is keeping creativity alive despite all the stresses, challenges and problems we might be dealing with. How do you keep your creativity alive?

I keep my creativity alive by collaborating with photographers to bring unique, artistic makeup visions to life through photoshoots. Whether working with professional models or anyone excited to be part of the process, I use each session as an opportunity to experiment with color, texture, and 3d additions,. These collaborations fuel my passion, challenge my skills, and turn each project into a work of art that reflects both individuality and imagination

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

I’m a certified makeup artist with over seven years of experience in SFX, Esthetics, and Master Artistry.
I specialize in creating bold, story-driven looks and often collaborate with photographers and models on artistic shoots. What makes my work special is the way it blends creativity with connection—turning each face into a unique canvas. Right now, I’m focused on expanding my business with more conceptual projects and exclusive makeup experiences that bring people deeper into the creative process while partnering with brands, magazines and other creative providers

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Three qualities that have been most impactful in my journey are creativity, adaptability, and professionalism. Creativity keeps my work fresh and expressive, allowing me to stand out. Adaptability has helped me thrive in different environments, from fast-paced fashion show sets to intimate client sessions. And professionalism—showing up prepared, respectful, and reliable—has built lasting relationships and trust in my brand. For those just starting out, my advice is to never stop practicing and experimenting, stay open to learning from every experience, and always treat your craft and your clients with care and respect.

How would you describe your ideal client?

My ideal client is someone who values creativity, trusts the artistic process, and isn’t afraid to try something bold or out of the box. Whether they’re looking for a polished glam look or an avant-garde concept, My ideal Photographers share this same goal with providing these photoshoots, great for portfolio but the experiences and way we can make our clients feel lasts forever as shown by my two amazing photographers I partnered with earlier this month for a Butterfly concept
