Meet Cindy Cisneros

We were lucky to catch up with Cindy Cisneros recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Cindy , so happy to have you with us today and there is so much we want to ask you about. So many of us go through similar pain points throughout our journeys and so hearing about how others developed certain skills or qualities that we are struggling with can be helpful. Along those lines, we’d love to hear from you about how you developed your ability to take risk?

Taking risks hasn’t always come easily to me. I tend to overthink and weigh every option. Over time, I learned to tell myself: “Stop being scared. Trust yourself.” And then I move forward, even when I’m unsure. Sometimes it works out, sometimes it doesn’t, but every outcome teaches me something. I realized that taking risks isn’t about ignoring fear or acting on impulse; it’s about being courageous, trusting your intuition, and learning to let go of the results. That mindset has helped me grow, evolve, and embrace opportunities I never imagined possible.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

I’m a licensed massage therapist and small business owner, and I love helping people feel refreshed, balanced, and truly supported in their bodies. Every session is tailored just for you: a mix of techniques like aromatherapy, hot stones, and stretching, whatever you need that day. For me, it’s not just about the massage; it’s about creating a little moment of transformation so you can show up fully for yourself

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

For me, the three qualities that shaped my journey are resilience, self-awareness, and courage. Resilience kept me moving forward even when things felt impossible. Self-awareness taught me to listen to my body, my intuition, and recognize what was truly serving me versus what was just fear or habit. Courage allowed me to take risks; sometimes calculated, sometimes just diving in and learn from whatever came out of it.

For anyone starting out, my advice is simple: show up consistently, pay attention to your instincts, and don’t be afraid to make mistakes. Growth comes through action, reflection, and trusting yourself along the way.

How would you spend the next decade if you somehow knew that it was your last?

If I only had ten years left, I wouldn’t hold back. I’d go on wild adventures that make me feel alive, explore creepy or forgotten places just to see what I find, and try things like sensory deprivation to really meet myself. I’d dive into futuristic studies, learn rare skills that demand deep concentration like mastering a musical instrument, learning advanced survival techniques, or picking up a complex craft and push myself in ways I usually avoid. Ten years isn’t long, so I’d spend it chasing intensity, curiosity, and truths I’ve been too careful to face.
