Meet Cinthia Jensen

We were lucky to catch up with Cinthia Jensen recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Cinthia, thank you so much for agreeing to open up about a sensitive and personal topic like being fired or laid-off. Unfortunately, there has been a rise in layoffs recently and so your insight and experience with overcoming being let go is relevant to so many in the community.

After being laid off for two years, I had to find a way to rebuild my career, even in an economy where jobs are harder to secure. Instead of letting the setback define me, I used that time to explore new paths, expand my skills, and tap into my creativity. That’s when I became a full-time content creator, keeping myself open to any opportunity aligned with my degree while continuing to apply for roles in my field.
This journey hasn’t been easy there are months when my income triples and months when I barely make anything at all. But I’ve learned the importance of being smart, saving wisely, and trusting the process. These challenges taught me resilience, adaptability, and patience.
I truly believe I’m moving toward the opportunities I’ve been preparing for. Sometimes the path isn’t straight, but every step brings you closer to the door that’s meant for you.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

I live in Redondo Beach and grew up in the South Bay. I was born in Peru and am bilingual in Spanish and English. I’m a mom of two sons one in college and one in elementary school and family has always been at the center of everything I do.
I’ve been working as an accountant for 16 years, building strong experience in organization, accuracy, and business operations. Alongside my accounting career, I’m also a content creator and influencer. I aim to partner with companies to build long-term, meaningful relationships, and I enjoy helping small businesses grow through social media marketing.
I’m always open to new opportunities where I can combine my professional experience, creativity, and passion for connecting with others.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

The three most impactful qualities in my journey have been consistency, discipline, and perseverance. No matter how difficult things become, I keep pushing forward. I’ve learned that even during the hardest moments, new opportunities often appear when you maintain a positive mindset and believe that something greater is ahead.
My advice to those who are just beginning their journey is to create a clear plan and commit to it step by step. Progress doesn’t happen overnight, and that’s okay. Celebrate every milestone, no matter how small, because each win is proof that you’re moving forward. Every victory is part of the path to success.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?

I’m always open to partnering and collaborating with brands and small businesses that need high-quality content for social media or marketing support for their digital channels. I also work closely with local businesses, creating engaging content and capturing professional product photography for websites and online platforms using a professional camera setup.
The best way to connect with me is via email with details about your project: [email protected]
