We recently connected with Cinthia Onines and have shared our conversation below.
Cinthia, so good to have you with us today. We’ve got so much planned, so let’s jump right into it. We live in such a diverse world, and in many ways the world is getting better and more understanding but it’s far from perfect. There are so many times where folks find themselves in rooms or situations where they are the only ones that look like them – that might mean being the only woman of color in the room or the only person who grew up in a certain environment etc. Can you talk to us about how you’ve managed to thrive even in situations where you were the only one in the room?
Being a Latina woman, I’ve spent a lot of time being the only one in the room who looks like me. Early in my career, especially in corporate jobs, I was often the only woman and almost always the only Latina. It was intimidating at first. There were moments I second-guessed myself, wondering if I was saying the right thing or if my perspective would even be heard.
Over time, I learned that my voice mattered because it was different. The way I see systems, marketing, and business operations isn’t just shaped by experience. It’s shaped by culture, community, and how I was raised to work hard and find creative solutions even when the odds aren’t in my favor.
Standing my ground on what I know to be true became my strength. I learned that not fitting in is actually what helps me stand out. And now, running my own business, I remind myself of that often. I don’t run a typical business, and that’s okay. I’ve built something that reflects who I am, not what everyone else says success should look like. That’s the part I’m most proud of.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I’m a systems strategist and marketing manager for wedding professionals and creative business owners. Through my business, Boda Bliss, I help people build structure and strategy into their work so they can grow sustainably.
Before launching Boda Bliss, I spent four years as a wedding planner, which gave me a clear view of how much time and energy goes into running a creative business. That experience inspired me to create the BODA Framework—Build, Optimize, Delegate, and Achieve—which I now use to help clients strengthen their marketing and operations from the inside out.
My work focuses on marketing systems like Pinterest strategy, marketing audits, and CRM setups that create smoother client experiences. I also help business owners streamline their day-to-day operations so they can focus more on the creative work they actually love. What I love most is seeing how confident and calm people feel once their systems start working for them. Right now, I’m focused on helping more creatives simplify their marketing and build foundations that last.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Looking back, the three things that have made the biggest difference in my journey are adaptability, organization, and curiosity.
Adaptability came first. I’ve had to pivot a lot, going from corporate roles to wedding planning and eventually to building my own business. Every shift required me to learn new tools, systems, and ways of thinking. My advice for anyone starting out is to stay open to learning and give yourself permission to evolve. It’s never too early or too late to pivot. When something isn’t working for you, change it. The skills you build now might look completely different five years from today, and that’s okay.
Organization has been the foundation of everything I do. Whether it’s creating workflows, building CRM systems, or mapping out marketing plans, structure has always helped me stay grounded. Having systems in place and keeping things organized can be the key to standing out and avoiding burnout. If you’re early in your journey, start by building simple systems that make your work easier to manage. You don’t need fancy software, just clarity on what needs to happen and when.
And curiosity has been a major driver for me. I’ve always been the person asking, “How can this work better?” That mindset is what led me to explore systems, test marketing strategies, and learn platforms like Pinterest and CRM tools inside and out. Don’t be afraid to keep learning. I try to read books that help me become a better business owner, a better support to my clients, and even a better person in my everyday life.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
Yes, absolutely. I love connecting with other creative business owners and educators who believe in building sustainable systems, not just chasing quick wins. I’m especially passionate about collaborating with Latina entrepreneurs in the wedding and creative industries who want to simplify and grow their businesses through education, marketing, and operations support. Representation matters, and I love being part of spaces that help elevate more Latina voices in this industry.
I also enjoy partnering with platforms that serve creatives—like Enji and Aisle Planner—to show business owners how to actually use these tools to make their workflows smoother and their client experience stronger. Collaborations that combine strategy, creativity, and sustainability are my favorite kind.
If someone is reading this and thinks we’d be a great fit, I’d love to connect.
