Meet Cintoria Franklin

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Cintoria Franklin a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Cintoria, appreciate you sitting with us today. Maybe we can start with a topic that we care deeply about because it’s something we’ve found really sets folks apart and can make all the difference in whether someone reaches their goals. Self discipline seems to have an outsized impact on how someone’s life plays out and so we’d love to hear about how you developed yours?

My self-discipline is rooted in the journey of entrepreneurship and the challenges of owning a business. These experiences have taught me invaluable lessons about educating myself, practicing patience, and embracing my history of failures as stepping stones toward growth.

Overcoming personal obstacles has shown me the importance of leading with faith and perseverance. I’ve come to understand that discipline is not just about pushing forward but about trusting that God is always there, guiding and strengthening me. This unwavering belief fuels my determination to never give up, no matter how difficult the path may seem.

Each challenge I face serves as a reminder that self-discipline is not simply a trait I possess but a muscle I’ve built through faith, resilience, and a commitment to my vision. It is the foundation upon which I continue to grow, thrive, and lead with purpose.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

Cintoria Franklin is a published author, hairstylist, nonprofit leader, business owner, mentor, and impactful speaker who is deeply committed to inspiring others. As a mother of three daughters, I understand the importance of setting an example of resilience, faith, and purpose. I am not a quitter; I am someone who believes in God and the power of perseverance, and I strive to motivate others by sharing how I’ve fought through some of the toughest battles in my life.

What I Do

I wear many hats, each with the purpose of creating meaningful change, including my role as a passionate speaker. Through my nonprofit, Pass the Beauty Inc., I tackle critical issues such as domestic violence, bullying, mental health, and homelessness. One of our standout initiatives, the *One Person, One Housed Housing Campaign*, is focused on raising funds to establish transitional housing for families affected by violence or mental health challenges. My work is driven by a deep commitment to uplifting communities and providing resources for those in need.

I am a published author and life coach, dedicated to inspiring others through my work. My upcoming book, Not Coming Back the Same, shares my personal journey of overcoming adversity, choosing faith over fear, and embracing determination in the face of challenges. I have a deep passion for mentoring women and youth, empowering them to discover their voices, unlock their potential, and confidently pursue their dreams.

What Excites Me

What excites me most about my work is its transformative power. Whether I’m coaching someone through life’s challenges or speaking to an audience about resilience, the opportunity to empower and uplift others is at the core of my mission. I am passionate about showing people that even the toughest battles can lead to remarkable victories when approached with faith, strength, and courage. Witnessing that transformation in others fuels my dedication every day.

New and Exciting Ventures
I am always working on myself, new ways to expand my businesses, my reach and make a difference.

A Final Word

Everything I do is rooted in faith, resilience, and a desire to inspire others to pursue their dreams, no matter the challenges they face. My story is proof that even when life feels impossible, it’s not the end—it’s an opportunity to rise, rebuild, and thrive. Thank you for allowing me to share a part of my journey with you. I hope it motivates you to embrace your challenges and trust that, with faith and determination, anything is possible.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Looking back, three qualities that have been most impactful in my journey are creativity as a hairstylist, empathy and advocacy as a domestic violence advocate, and vulnerability and storytelling as a published author. Each role required resilience, continuous learning, and a willingness to share my story to inspire others. For those early in their journey, I advise embracing your unique gifts, seeking knowledge through education and experience, and remaining authentic in your mission. Always lead with passion and purpose, and remember that growth often comes from stepping outside of your comfort zone.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?

I am looking for passionate individuals who love being leaders and aren’t afraid to roll up their sleeves to do the work. If you’re someone who is driven, collaborative, and committed to making a positive impact, I’d love to connect. Whether you’re interested in partnering on projects or sharing your expertise, I believe we can achieve incredible things together. If this resonates with you, feel free to reach out—I’m excited to explore how we can collaborate and create meaningful change!
