We were lucky to catch up with Claire Marie Kohout recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Claire Marie, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?
This question, “How did you find your purpose?” has been on my mind a lot lately. So much so, I have developed a message for people as I go out into the world as a speaker at different events. There is a larger view to be considered that we don’t always like to look at, which is that our purpose is to BE Ourselves. To be our own individuated, authentic self in a human body while experiencing life on earth. As an energy practitioner and healer, I found my own purpose while connecting to a deep energetic space called Hara. I learned about Hara through study, mentorship and collective work in the healing field. A daily practice of connecting to this sacred space allowed me the chance to release any past life trauma and current lineage bondage, which created a freedom for myself that I never thought possible, and this freedom allowed me to acknowledge that I can be the author of my own story. I get to create my life that I can share with others as I see fit. Through this Hara meditation, I learned that each of us has a unique and important perspective of the world, and this unique perspective influences consciousness and allows consciousness to expand even more fully.
Finding our freedom allows us to deepen our embodiment of the essence of the universe, allowing us to create more freedom and awareness for all things. Our talents and gifts are not our purpose; they are how we learn from the universe to be more fully connected and helpful to the rest of the world. Our talents and our gifts are how we choose to show the world who we are and what we are capable of.
The more authentic we are the more PURPOSEFUL our lives become. We live ON PURPOSE: we are engaged, awake and ready for anything and everything seen or unseen. Once we clear away all the dirt, detritus and outside expectation from our internal lenses, and find our true authentic self, living our purpose becomes everything including living in joy, hope and peace. We have nothing to prove because we have proven ourselves already.
Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
Through positivity and love, I, Claire Marie of CMK Energy, will help empower clients to fully self actualize so they can thrive in their lives, not just survive their lives. “My goal is to help you live an ecstatic life full of love, Divine grace, conscious awareness and self-confidence. This life is so powerful and beautiful, and so full of magic. We have to listen, be aware and choose our way through life carefully and with respect to get the most we can out of every single minute.” -Claire Marie
I offer mentorship/guidance for individuals looking to enhance their spiritual growth/enlightenment, intuitive guidance to help you face life’s challenges, and Energy Healing Therapy to aid in alignment and balance of body, mind and spirit so your journey can be as full and joyful as possible.
These statements are what I have written my bio, on my website and what I tell people about what I do for a living and what my passion is. I love working with people and I love having conversations about philosophy, spirituality, consciousness and energy. I love how energy therapy, consciousness, and self-love lead to self-awareness and presence in life. Allowing us to fully Be ALIVE.
I love partnering with other practitioners to bring new and exciting ideas and techniques to the world through creative collaboration. For instance, I am working this spring with Kari Rae Coaching and Kari’s wonderful body positive empowerment of women in a quarterly online workshop called The Surrender Circle, Let Go and Find Your Flow where everyone can join us to fully surrender to the embodiment of themselves through collective sharing and energetic release of bonds and blocks.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
The most important quality I will share is the ability to live truly authentically. When working in any creative space the universe will support you, so make sure you are clear on where you need support. Life doesn’t just happen to you, it can also happen for you. We can do anything we put our heart and energy into, so make sure you are directing it where you want it to go, and be sure that direction is where YOU want it to go, not where outside influences tell you to put it.
As we end our chat, is there a book you can leave people with that’s been meaningful to you and your development?
I am excited by this question! There are so many books that have been instrumental in my education in energy medicine and consciousness that usually it’s hard to pick just one that makes a big difference, but The Alchemist by Paolo Coelho was truly inspiring. From what I understand, he wrote it as inspiration to himself as an artist and a writer finding his way, but it translates so well into a divine, spiritual and creative journey of life. His prose describing the creative connection through his character’s journey is incredibly empowering. I use his book as a tool in the Thrive with Intuition Class that I teach every summer because it so beautifully and eloquently describes the transformation that happens when we learn to listen to the whole of the Universe. He also uses omens or signs from the Universe to help his character, Santiago along the way. He learns to follow his guidance and use his intuition to find his own glory and treasure. It is a wonderful read for anyone wanting inspiration on how to live a creative and connected life for their highest good.
