Meet Claire Pearce

We were lucky to catch up with Claire Pearce recently and have shared our conversation below.

Claire, so great to have you with us and we want to jump right into a really important question. In recent years, it’s become so clear that we’re living through a time where so many folks are lacking self-confidence and self-esteem. So, we’d love to hear about your journey and how you developed your self-confidence and self-esteem.

I grew up in an alcoholic household where conflict between my parents was constant, and the mixed messages I received about myself left me questioning my worth from a young age. Those early experiences shaped how I saw myself for many years, chipping away at my confidence and self-esteem. In my twenties, I began therapy and started a healing journey that opened the door to self-discovery and growth. Since then, I’ve immersed myself in personal development — from books, teachers, and workshops to spiritual exploration — each step becoming a building block toward reclaiming my voice, strength, and confidence. What once felt like wounds holding me back have now become the foundation for my resilience, helping me step into a version of myself that is empowered, compassionate, and deeply grounded.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

Professionally, I’m a boudoir photographer and women’s empowerment coach, and my work is all about helping women see themselves in a new light. What excites me most is creating experiences that go far beyond photographs — it’s about confidence, self-love, and transformation. For many of my clients, a session isn’t just about beautiful images, it’s about finally letting go of self-doubt, embracing their bodies, and celebrating who they are right now.

My brand is built around empowerment, and I bring my own personal journey of healing and self-discovery into the work I do. I know firsthand how hard it can be to find your voice and your confidence, and that’s why creating a safe, uplifting, and fun environment for women is at the heart of everything I do.

Looking ahead, I’m excited to be expanding beyond traditional sessions. I’ve been introducing themed mini sessions, which give clients a fun, unique way to step into empowerment in shorter, more accessible experiences. I’m also developing a coaching membership for women who want ongoing support with confidence, self-love, and setting boundaries in their lives. For me, it’s not just about one day in front of the camera — it’s about giving women tools and experiences that stay with them long after.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Looking back, three qualities that have been most impactful in my journey are resilience, curiosity, and empathy.

Resilience came from my own experiences growing up and later choosing to do the work of healing. There were times when it felt easier to give up, but continuing to show up for myself and my dreams made all the difference.

Curiosity kept me moving forward — reading books, going to workshops, working with mentors, and asking deeper questions about who I wanted to become. That willingness to explore and learn has shaped both my personal growth and my business.

Empathy is at the core of what I do as a photographer and coach. Because of my own struggles, I can sit with clients in their vulnerability and create a safe space where they feel truly seen.

For anyone just starting their journey, my advice would be:

Build resilience by taking small, consistent steps even when things feel uncertain — each step builds confidence.

Stay curious and invest in your own growth. Explore new tools, classes, and perspectives. Find mentor you admire, that’s doing what you want to do, to help guide you.

Lead with empathy, both for yourself and others. Self-compassion will keep you moving even when you stumble.

Each of these qualities is something you can strengthen over time. The more you practice, the more they become part of who you are.

Tell us what your ideal client would be like?

My ideal client is a woman who is ready to reclaim a part of herself — whether that means embracing her body, celebrating a milestone, or simply giving herself permission to feel beautiful and confident. Many of my clients are busy women who spend most of their time taking care of everyone else and rarely pause to invest in themselves. They don’t always walk in the door feeling 100% confident, but they’re open, curious, and willing to step outside their comfort zone.

What makes someone an ideal client isn’t about a certain size, age, or stage of life — it’s about mindset. My best clients are those who value the experience, who want to be seen and celebrated, and who are open to the transformation that happens when they see themselves through a new lens.
At the heart of it, my work is about empowerment. So the women who get the most out of their session are the ones who are ready to step into their power — even if it feels a little scary at first. That openness and willingness to trust the process is what makes the magic happen.
