Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Clarence Dowell. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Clarence, you’ve got such an interesting story, but before we jump into that, let’s first talk about a topic near and dear to us – generosity. We think success, happiness and wellbeing depends on authentic generosity and empathy and so we’d love to hear about how you become such a generous person – where do you think your generosity comes from?
I grew up in a home where my parents would allow people to stay with us from time to time when they fell on hard times. Likewise as I grew up I know there were people that reached or lended a helping hand when my parents may of struggled. Lastly, I think back to the Bible in knowing Jesus could have came as anything He wanted to be but He came to serve. It is my duty to help where I can and make the world just a little bit better for those with less than me when I come across them.

I post motivational, spiritual, or comedy videos with the intent of giving my spin and understanding of things. I hope to brighten someone’s day and also show that they are not alone in whatever they may be going through. I post these videos on Facebook and TikTok. Though I do not post it, I also work part time at a gas station and use it as an opportunity to do random acts of kindness. I would love to be able to travel and speak with youngsters about seeing through the songs and movies and growing up to productive citizens.
What was the most impactful thing your parents did for you?
They cut the cord and let me go my path. Meaning they did not force college as I did not feel that was the path for me and wanted to go to the military. While they were scared they also knew I needed to go my own path to become the man I was searching to be. One of the last things my Mom said to me that sticks with me until this day, “The world owes you nothing, go out and prove yourself.”
