We were lucky to catch up with Clarissa Hyneman recently and have shared our conversation below.
Clarissa, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.
I found my purpose in stillness, obedience, and motherhood.
In December 2023, I turned a simple closet into a prayer space where I could meet with God without distraction. The walls were covered with Scripture, my prayers were tucked into envelopes, and that small room became a sacred place of healing and clarity. As I sat there day after day, God began reshaping how I saw myself, my family, and my calling.
During that same season, my husband and I were taking a marriage class on “pain and peace cycles.” Learning how to stand on God’s truth rather than my emotions changed me deeply. As my husband built his Scary to Remarry platform around the idea of loving fearlessly, I felt God inviting me to carry that message forward in a different way, toward children and families.
At home, I was raising four children, two of whom are autistic. Life was full of therapies, appointments, and hard moments, but also profound spiritual ones. My children began joining me in the prayer closet, reading their Bibles and adding their own prayers to the wall. When my six-year-old asked, “Mom, how do you pray?” I realized my purpose was forming right in front of me.
I began creating simple posters with biblical affirmations, the Fruits of the Spirit, and the Armor of God so my kids could understand God’s truth in a practical way. Watching them speak Scripture over themselves in moments of frustration confirmed my calling.
Out of that experience came my first children’s books, each inspired by my own kids’ real challenges and growth. Even when early vending events were discouraging, I felt God telling me to keep going.
Today, Lovefearlessly Outreach exists to help children know who they are in Christ and to equip parents with faith-based tools for discipleship. What began in a prayer closet has become a mission to help families live, lead, and love fearlessly.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I am the founder of Lovefearlessly Outreach, a faith-based brand and ministry created to help children know who they are in Christ and to equip parents and caregivers with practical, biblical tools for discipleship. Through children’s books, devotionals, journals, affirmation posters, bookmarks, and apparel, I create resources that root everyday life in God’s truth in simple, accessible, and meaningful ways.
What excites me most about this work is seeing children internalize Scripture and speak life over themselves in real time. My favorite moments are when a child recognizes their emotions, remembers a biblical affirmation, and chooses courage, kindness, or peace instead of fear. Watching families use these tools together at home, in school, or in church reminds me that this work is bigger than products; it’s about shaping identity, confidence, and faith from a young age.
My work is also deeply personal. As a mother of four, two of whom are autistic, much of Lovefearlessly was born out of my own lived experience navigating therapies, sensory needs, anxiety, and big emotions while trying to remain anchored in God. My books are inspired by my children’s real journeys, and I hope they normalize neurodiversity while celebrating God’s intentional design in every child.
Professionally, I balance this calling with my work as a nurse case manager, where I serve families of children with complex medical and developmental needs. Both roles inform each other; my clinical experience strengthens my advocacy, and my ministry deepens my compassion.
Today, Lovefearlessly has grown to include 12 children’s books, multiple devotionals and journals, and a growing line of faith-based educational materials for families, schools, and churches. We continue to expand through community vending events, partnerships, and speaking opportunities centered on faith, family, and advocacy.
What began in a prayer closet has become a mission to help families live, lead, and love fearlessly, one affirmation and one story at a time.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Looking back, three things have been most impactful in shaping my journey; faith-rooted consistency, courage to move forward afraid, and the ability to turn lived experience into meaningful impact.
1. Faith-rooted consistency, My daily time with God in my prayer closet gave me clarity, direction, and peace when things felt uncertain. Purpose unfolded slowly through prayer, Scripture, and obedience rather than through quick results or external validation. That spiritual consistency anchored me when business was hard and helped me stay aligned with my calling instead of chasing trends.
2. Courage to keep going even when it was uncomfortable, Early in my journey, vending events were discouraging and I often felt like my faith-based message didn’t “fit” everywhere. There were many moments I wanted to quit. Choosing to continue anyway built resilience and strengthened my trust in God’s timing and plan.
3. Turning real-life experience into meaningful impact, Raising four children, two of whom are autistic, deeply shaped my work. Instead of separating motherhood from my calling, I allowed my lived experiences to inform my books, resources, and mission. That authenticity made my work relatable and impactful for other families.
Advice for those early in their journey, Build a steady spiritual or reflective practice so your decisions are grounded rather than reactive. Expect setbacks and prepare for them by surrounding yourself with people who believe in you. Most importantly, lean into your story instead of hiding it. Your real experiences, struggles, and growth may be the very pathway to your purpose. Stay faithful, start small, and keep moving forward even when the path isn’t fully clear.

Okay, so before we go, is there anyone you’d like to shoutout for the role they’ve played in helping you develop the essential skills or overcome challenges along the way?
The people who have been most helpful in my journey are, first and foremost, God, my family, and my community of mentors and supporters.
My relationship with God has been my greatest source of strength, guidance, and clarity. Spending time in prayer and Scripture shaped my confidence, discernment, and perseverance. Many of the ideas behind Lovefearlessly Outreach came directly from moments of stillness with Him, and returning to that foundation has helped me push through doubt, discouragement, and uncertainty.
My husband has also played a significant role in my growth. Watching him build his Scary to Remarry platform showed me what faith, consistency, and vulnerability in public work could look like. He encouraged me to trust my voice, take risks, and believe that my message mattered. Our conversations, shared learning, and teamwork have been essential to both my personal and professional development.
My children have been unexpected but powerful teachers. Their questions, emotions, and faith stretched me to grow spiritually and creatively. They helped me learn patience, empathy, and how to communicate God’s truth in simple, meaningful ways. In many ways, they shaped the very mission of Lovefearlessly.
Finally, mentors, friends, and fellow entrepreneurs in my community have helped me navigate challenges I didn’t know how to face alone. Their encouragement, wisdom, and example reminded me that growth happens in relationship, not isolation.
Together, these influences helped me become more resilient, faithful, and confident in my calling, and they continue to support me as Lovefearlessly Outreach grows.
