Meet Claudia Bella Soto

We recently connected with Claudia Bella Soto and have shared our conversation below.

Claudia Bella, so great to have you with us and we want to jump right into a really important question. In recent years, it’s become so clear that we’re living through a time where so many folks are lacking self-confidence and self-esteem. So, we’d love to hear about your journey and how you developed your self-confidence and self-esteem.

I was able to develop my confidence and self esteem through travel. Throughout my travels I was able to broaden my horizons and I noticed growth in my personal development.

Growing up as a first generation Mexican American with an immigrant single mother, it was hard to believe in myself and it was hard to feel confident in school or in social gatherings knowing what I came from.

I felt as if I didn’t deserve to live the “American Dream.” I was bullied In school every year so it made it even harder to build a good self esteem.

Once I graduated high school and went off into University. I realized I had opportunities in the U.S that no one else in my family ever had. So I got a passport and began to travel.

Throughout my travels I was able to develop my confidence and self-esteem. I found my passion in travel and was inspired by clothing and every culture’s different way of life.

Each time I came back home from my travels, I developed a new mindset and realized the world is bigger than the small minded people in my city and schools..

I then realized i was capable of so much more and that anything is possible. I realized my value and from then on I knew i deserved anything I set my mind to.

Never let anyones perspective of you or what you come from determine what you’re capable of. It’s up to you to be the change you want to see.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I am a virtual entrepreneur, fashion stylist, and designer. I have been selling fashion via e-commerce Shopify since 2020 and have never looked back since. I was able to make more income in a month through e-commerce than working a 9-5 In an entire year. I start by sketching a design or mocking it up on photoshop design using Canva. Or a pick out fabrics. Then I send the idea and fabric to a seamstress to have it made. Then I get into creative design and make an editorial shoot Using either agencies, influencers or a local talent. Then i upload to my website and socials and wait for
People To purchase.
Sometimes I get invited to host pop up shops at music festivals, or local boutiques. This brand focuses on women to make them feel empowered! I want to influence women to start their own online business because being able to work from home can be very beneficial and creates a flexible schedule. It also gives you the benefit of working from your computer anywhere in the world, encouraging travel!

My goals are to be a successful philanthropist, & to help women become more confident & independent through jobs or even feeling more confident through fashion.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Building a connection, word of mouth, be teachable and stay inspired. These are all qualities you must keep for an impactful journeys

I’ve learned that building a connection with customers leads to organic sales and this falls into words of mouth as well, whoever you meet or speak to is a chance to spread the word about your new product or business, especially when you build a connection people are happy to support through purchasing or even posting whatever it is you may have for sale or representing. Once you hood a connection people are happy to know you, the creative genius behind it all and you never know who you may inspire!

Always be teachable and stay inspired. Keep your ears and eyes open for new ideas and creatives. People can give you the best advice from their experience and remember, you can never stop learning. There’s always tips to learn from others who have made it! Also stay open to new experiences you never know who or what may inspire you for a design or set up from colors to objects anything you see you can recycle. Art can always be reused and redesigned just like music..

What do you do when you feel overwhelmed? Any advice or strategies?
Whenever I am feeling overwhelmed I take deep breathes, meditate, or even go for a nature walk. Taking a nice walk in nature or being near water is a great Way to release any negative energies and relax clear your mind. Listening to podcasts always helps too!

I recommend doing PQ Reps it helps your brain focus on positive mental muscles. shift your attention as much as possible to your body and any of your five senses for at least 10 seconds. You will find this helps clear your mind.
