Meet Claudio E. Aymat

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Claudio E. Aymat. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Claudio E. below.

Claudio E., we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?

Resilience is something I learned from my father. He worked extremely hard for everything we ever had. When I was 7 years old, he moved our family of 6 from Puerto Rico to Florida. We struggled, but he worked multiple jobs for years to make our lives as comfortable as possible. Our family, me and my young siblings, adapted well to a new culture and environment because of the sacrifices made for us.
And part of that resilience comes from being willing to problem solve, adapt and overcome whatever happens in life. My father modeled this for me as well when I was young, and as I grew I was able to do the same for myself and have prided myself in my ability to overcome obstacles and keep a clear focus on my path.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

My name is Claudio E Aymat, I’m a certified drone pilot and I love what I do. When I’m not producing aerial footage for clients, I enjoy capturing scenery and familiar places through a unique and different point of view. I get a real thrill out of experiencing life through a bird’s eye view. I also created and personally designed a clothing brand inspired by the drone industry. What once started as a merch store to complement my drone business, evolved into a clothing line that serves as a creative outlet merging unique styles and my personal artistic designs. I’m inspired to navigate my brand into a movement that brings together people in all walks of life.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

The three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in my journey are problem solving, Interpersonal skills and relating to people of all walks of life, and making conscious efforts to learn from mistakes.

My father wasn’t my only mentor. I had and still have mentors that have helped me refine the skills I needed to become who I am today. My advice is to find people you can learn from. Whether it be learning about managing or evolving your mindset to simply just learning about what not to do. As long as you are constantly learning and improving, you are bound to reach your goals.

What was the most impactful thing your parents did for you?

I think the most impactful thing my parents did for me was loving each other and showing me what real love looks like and showing me that I can be happy with what I have, no matter what that looks like. Because if I’m happy with what I have, my goals aren’t superficial, they’re based on actual fulfillment.
