Meet Cleous Young

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Cleous Young. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Cleous below.

Hi Cleous, so great to have you on the platform. There’s so much we want to ask you, but let’s start with the topic of self-care. Do you do anything for self-care and if so, do you think it’s had a meaningful impact on your effectiveness?

There are several things that I do to care for myself, which is called Self-Care. Here are three of the several. The first is a daily affirmation, the second is a weekly day fast, and the third is monitoring my eating intake. The effectiveness is seeing over a period of time that these self-care methods helped to significantly shaped the conditions of my life from “Thinking of it” to “It becoming the reality” of what I desired my life to be… I am nothing short of what I have daily affirmed for my life…

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

Cleous “GloWry” Young is now a brilliant force in the world of literature, theater, and social activism. A person who has gone through the parallel force of living through the negative experiences (lived experience) of his life and then now offering these viable experiences through innovative teachings via the aviation context. Born on the vibrant island of St. Thomas, Jamaica, Young has transformed his childhood positive doings into a transfiguration mission of global impact. As a poet, writer, author, playwright, director, speaker, instructor, life coach, former teacher, former behavioral therapist, social activist, filmmaker, and visionary, Young has dedicated over two decades searching for a more meaningful life than his childhood’s dream of becoming the next Pele’… He may not be a Pele’ on the soccer field, but he is the Pele’ of enriching communities and advocating social justice on a global level…

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Care, Compassion and Concern are three qualities. Skills are writing, speaking, and TEAching. The areas of knowledge that were most impactful in my journey are the field of psychology and the aviation industry. The advice that I can share with other is the one that have been the most instrumental to me. That is to find something that is relatable to what is it that you desire and then use that as a compass to help guide and develop your own understanding. There is a process or system or element in this world or universe that does exactly what is it that you desire to accomplish. For me, it was aviation and therefore, I studied the aviation industry and now I am able to build and develop my qualities, skills and areas of knowledge on how to get people from one location to a new destination with their life, which is what the aviation industry successfully does.

There is nothing new that you are attempting to develop through your qualities, skills or knowledge. Something out there is identical. You just have to find it and the moment you do, then your qualities, skills, and knowledge will significantly increase in these areas…

How can folks who want to work with you connect?

Yes, I am always looking for people to partner or collaborate with. People who are deeply concerned about improving the overall well-being and quality of life of others, especially those who are impoverished, oppressed, and those who seem somewhat insignificant to this world.

They can find my on the different social media platforms under my name…
