Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Cody Bellec. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Cody, so happy to have you on the platform and I think our readers are in for a treat because you’ve got such an interesting story and so much insight and wisdom. So, let’s start with a topic that is relevant to everyone, regardless of industry etc. What do you do for self-care and how has it impacted you?
Self-care for me goes far beyond just relaxing or taking a day off. It’s about doing the things that keep me grounded, disciplined, and clear-headed so I can show up fully in my life and for others.
My self-care includes:
• Journaling every morning and night to process my thoughts, set intentions, and stay connected to my purpose rather than just reacting to life.
• Meditation, because I used to be so reactive and let stress control my decisions. Meditation helps me pause, breathe, and respond to challenges with intention and calm.
• Consistent workouts, not just for physical health but because they build mental strength and confidence that carries into everything I do.
• Reading or listening to podcasts daily to keep my mind growing, learning, and expanding my perspective.
• Spending intentional time with people I care about, because connection recharges me and reminds me what really matters.
The impact this self-care has had on my effectiveness is huge. I’ve noticed I’m clearer in my decisions, more confident in my actions, and far more resilient when setbacks come up. I’m able to handle stress without letting it consume me. I can lead myself and others with authenticity and focus because I’m taking care of my mind, body, and spirit consistently.
For me, self-care isn’t a luxury – it’s a non-negotiable foundation that allows me to keep growing and serving others at the highest level.
Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
Right now, my focus is on building a brand that helps guide, educate, motivate, and inspire people to live happier, more fulfilling, abundant, and authentic lives.
What I do is share the reality of my journey – the discipline, the struggles, the mindset shifts, and the wins – to show people that growth is possible no matter where they’re starting from. I create content on Instagram and TikTok that combines raw storytelling with practical mindset tools and frameworks so people can apply what I share to their own lives immediately.
What I find most exciting about this work is seeing how a single piece of content – a Reel about discipline, a story about my setbacks, or a tip about mindset – can change someone’s day or perspective. That’s powerful. That’s why I do this. Because I know what it feels like to wake up feeling lost and hopeless, and I want to be a voice that reminds people of their potential.
Something special about my brand is the honesty behind it. I don’t pretend to have it all figured out. I share what’s working, what’s not, and what I’m learning in real time. It’s not about creating a perfect image; it’s about creating a real connection and leading by example so others can build confidence and discipline in their own lives.
Right now, I’m working on expanding my brand by developing digital products and coaching programs that go deeper into these topics – discipline, mindset, building confidence, and creating an abundant life. I want to provide people with tools that actually work, not just motivation that fades after a few hours.
I’m also working on growing my audience to reach more people with this message. My goal is to build a strong community of individuals committed to becoming their best selves – people who support each other, hold each other accountable, and grow together.
If there’s one thing I’d want readers to know, it’s this: I’m not here to impress anyone. I’m here to impact people and help them create lives they’re truly proud of.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Looking back, the three most impactful qualities and skills in my journey have been:
1. Discipline
Discipline is the foundation of everything I’ve built. It’s what kept me going when I felt unmotivated, tired, or doubtful. Discipline taught me that success doesn’t come from doing what you feel like doing – it comes from doing what you need to do, even when it’s hard.
Advice: Start small. Pick one habit – waking up earlier, journaling, working out – and commit to it daily, no matter what. Over time, this builds mental toughness and confidence that carries into every area of your life.
2. Self-awareness
Learning to understand my thoughts, triggers, strengths, and weaknesses changed everything. It allowed me to make decisions with intention rather than emotion and helped me grow without self-sabotage.
Advice: Develop self-awareness by journaling daily, meditating, and asking yourself tough questions without judgment. The more honest you are with yourself, the faster you’ll grow.
3. Resilience
Life will test you, and your dreams will demand sacrifice. I’ve been knocked down countless times – losing my job, falling into debt, feeling like a failure. But resilience is what allowed me to get back up stronger every time.
Advice: Embrace setbacks as lessons. When things go wrong, don’t just ask why me? – ask what is this teaching me? The faster you learn to see challenges as growth opportunities, the stronger and more unstoppable you become.

Overall advice for anyone early in their journey:
Don’t wait for motivation to come. Build discipline. Stay self-aware so you know where you need to grow. And no matter how many times you get knocked down, keep getting back up. That’s how you build a life you’re truly proud of.
How would you describe your ideal client?
My ideal client is someone who knows deep down they’re capable of more – more confidence, discipline, health, fulfillment, and impact – but they feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure of how to get there.
They’re self-aware enough to realize that their current habits, mindset, or environment aren’t serving them, and they’re ready to take responsibility for changing that. They’re not looking for quick fixes or surface-level motivation; they want real, honest guidance and practical tools they can apply to create lasting change.
Some characteristics of my ideal client are:
✅ Hungry for growth – They want to become the best version of themselves and are willing to do the inner and outer work to get there.
✅ Open-minded and coachable – They’re willing to try new strategies, challenge old beliefs, and receive honest feedback without ego.
✅ Action takers – They don’t just consume information; they implement it and take aligned action, even when it’s uncomfortable.
✅ Values honesty and authenticity – They appreciate real, raw guidance over sugar-coated advice and resonate with my mission of living an abundant, authentic life.
✅ Committed to their goals – Whether it’s building discipline, improving health, strengthening their mindset, or creating a fulfilling life, they show up consistently.
If someone is ready to take control of their life, build unbreakable discipline, reframe their mindset, and create real results, they’re exactly the type of client I love working with.
