We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Cody Walker. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Cody below.

Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Cody with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?

When I think about where my work ethic comes from, I’ve realized it started from a deep unwillingness to fail. In the beginning, that came from a place of scarcity where I felt like I had something to prove. I pushed myself to overwork, and while it wasn’t sustainable forever, it gave me a strong foundation. Those years of sticking to a plan, doing the lead generation, practicing, studying, and investing in myself taught me how to show up at a high level.

The real shift came when I developed confidence. That’s when my work ethic moved from scarcity to abundance. I realized there’s never a perfect time to trust yourself or the process, you just have to do it. Today, my drive comes from wanting to live a life of abundance. It means showing up fully for my clients, problem solving with clarity, and it also means being able to unplug and be present with my wife, our dog Penny, and our friends when we travel and explore. Confidence created that balance for me, and abundance is now what fuels my work ethic.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

I’m a local real estate agent serving the Front Range of Colorado, with a strong focus around Littleton and also up north in Fort Collins. My journey here started when I came from San Diego to attend Colorado State University, where I met my wife Alyssa. While at CSU, I had the distinct honor of serving as the mascot, Cam The Ram. It was such a thrill to be under the mask representing something bigger than myself and the university. That experience shaped the way I approach my career today—being the person who shows up for others, represents something meaningful, and works tirelessly behind the scenes.

I never left Colorado after college because this state has truly become home. Right out of CSU, I built my real estate business as my first career, following a few years with Red Bull where I created unique branding and live experiences. That background gave me a different lens for marketing and problem solving, which I now bring to real estate.

I run a small but mighty team, which allows me to give clients the highest level of one-on-one service. Behind me are three incredible support staff in marketing, client relations, and transaction management, which means our clients get depth of service you don’t usually find in a boutique setting. Real estate just clicks with me—the negotiations, the details, the stress management, the problem solving. Over and over, my clients tell me how much they value my ability to stay calm under pressure and navigate challenges with solutions that others might not see.

What excites me most is that real estate isn’t just about buying or selling—it’s about creating a plan, guiding people through it with precision, and getting them to the finish line with confidence. While my Red Bull days were all about delivering fun, my real estate career has been about delivering value: assembling a world-class team of lenders, title partners, and contractors, then using that team to give my clients a smooth, successful process.

Looking ahead, I’m focused on growing our reach in Jefferson County which is closer to home, spreading the message of why I love this area for my family and I, and continuing to deliver world-class service while maintaining that personal, local touch.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Persistence was everything in the early years. When I started right out of college, there wasn’t a backup plan. I had to create momentum through sheer consistency—lead generation, learning the business inside and out, and just showing up every day whether it felt easy or not. That persistence built the foundation that still supports me today.

Problem solving came next. Real estate is never the same twice, and it clicked for me that my real value wasn’t in making the process “fun” like I had in my Red Bull days, but in making it smooth and successful. That means spotting issues before they become problems, guiding clients through negotiations, and staying calm when stress is high. Over time, I’ve developed a knack for taking complex situations and breaking them into clear, workable solutions.

Relationship building is what has made this a career I love. From my clients to my team to the other professionals I partner with, the relationships are what make the hard work worth it. My business has grown because people trust me and feel that I genuinely care about their goals, and that only comes from investing in people first.

For anyone starting out, my advice is simple. Build your persistence through habits and routines, because discipline beats motivation. Train your problem-solving muscles by embracing challenges instead of avoiding them, because that’s where growth happens. And start building authentic relationships now. Be curious, care about people, and give more than you ask for. If you do those three things, you’ll be surprised at how quickly the rest falls into place.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?

Yes, I’m absolutely looking to collaborate with like-minded agents who want to elevate themselves and live a life of abundance, while also creating a path of abundance for their clients. I believe in surrounding myself with people who are growth-minded and focused on delivering real value.

I’m especially excited to connect with new partners at eXp Realty who share that same vision. Beyond the brokerage side, I also love collaborating with professionals who are interested in overseas staffing solutions like I use in my own business. It has been a game-changer for me in terms of scalability, allowing me to provide a deeper level of service to my clients while leveraging my time more effectively. Whether it is collaborating on best-practices or increasing your team.

If you’re reading this and want to connect, or are looking for a top real estate agent in Littleton or the Front Range of Colorado, I’d love to hear from you. The best way to reach me is by email at cody@sourceofhome or directly by call or text at (619) 733-2250.
