Meet Cody Wilkins

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Cody Wilkins a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Cody, so happy to have you with us today and there is so much we want to ask you about. So many of us go through similar pain points throughout our journeys and so hearing about how others developed certain skills or qualities that we are struggling with can be helpful. Along those lines, we’d love to hear from you about how you developed your ability to take risk?

Developing my ability to take risks was a gradual process shaped by self-awareness and growth. Initially, fear of failure kept me in my comfort zone, but over time, I learned to embrace calculated risks. I started with small steps outside my comfort zone, which gradually built my confidence. I also realized that failure is not the end, but an opportunity to learn and grow. Understanding that even successful people face doubts helped me take more informed risks. Seeking mentorship and clarifying my purpose further empowered me to make bolder decisions. Resilience became key; each risk, whether successful or not, strengthened my ability to recover and move forward. Today, I view risk-taking as an intentional, purposeful path toward growth, with failure seen as part of the journey rather than a setback.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

I’m passionate about growing my company, Arch Carts, which specializes in Event Transportation Logistics coordination throughout Missouri. While we don’t directly provide transportation, we handle the crucial coordination that ensures every event has seamless transportation solutions, from managing schedules to connecting with trusted service providers.

What excites me most about what I do is knowing where I come from and the fact that I’ve built Arch Carts from the ground up. The ability to create a service that simplifies one of the most complex aspects of event planning is incredibly fulfilling. It’s not just about logistics—it’s about relieving stress for event planners and ensuring that transportation runs smoothly, so everyone can focus on what truly matters.

One thing that sets Arch Carts apart is our commitment to personalized service and attention to detail. I believe that great event coordination begins with great communication and the ability to anticipate needs. This is something we take pride in—ensuring that every event is well-organized and that transportation is handled flawlessly.

As for what’s new, I’m excited to continue expanding Arch Carts and increasing our presence throughout Missouri. We have some exciting new initiatives and updates in the works that will make our services even more efficient and tailored to our clients’ needs. I can’t wait to share these developments soon.

Additionally, I’m committed to furthering my education by completing graduate school and obtaining my master’s in IT. I believe that deepening my knowledge in technology will not only improve the efficiency of Arch Carts but will also allow us to integrate innovative solutions into our coordination services.

Ultimately, I’m deeply invested in building a successful, sustainable business while also growing personally and professionally. To learn more about our services, you can visit us at www.ArchCarts.com.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Looking back on my journey, three qualities that were most impactful in my development are resilience, effective communication, and strategic planning. Each of these played a pivotal role in helping me navigate the challenges and grow my business, Arch Carts, from the ground up.

Resilience: The ability to bounce back from setbacks and continue pushing forward has been essential. There were many times when things didn’t go according to plan—whether it was dealing with unexpected challenges or navigating periods of uncertainty. Resilience helped me keep moving forward, learn from mistakes, and stay focused on long-term goals.

Effective Communication: Whether with clients, partners, or my team, being able to clearly express ideas, expectations, and solutions has been critical. In event coordination, especially, there are so many moving parts, and being able to communicate effectively ensures everything runs smoothly.

Strategic Planning: As an entrepreneur, there were countless decisions to make, and developing a clear, actionable plan was key to staying organized and focused. Having a vision for the future while understanding the steps necessary to achieve it has helped Arch Carts grow. This means being able to break down big goals into manageable tasks and continually reassessing the plan as circumstances evolve.

To anyone early in their journey, my advice is to focus on developing resilience, effective communication, and strategic planning. Embrace challenges as opportunities to learn and grow, understanding that setbacks are a natural part of the process and not a reason to give up. Be intentional about your communication—actively listen, understand others’ needs, and clearly articulate your own to build trust and strong relationships. Additionally, focus on setting both short-term and long-term goals, breaking them down into manageable tasks. Regularly assess your progress and be flexible in adapting your plans as you learn and grow. Developing these skills takes time, but they will form the foundation of your success and help you navigate the complexities of your journey.

Okay, so before we go, is there anyone you’d like to shoutout for the role they’ve played in helping you develop the essential skills or overcome challenges along the way?

One of the most helpful & inspiring people in my journey has been my bestfriend Gonzalo B.
