Meet Colin Wood

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Colin Wood. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Colin below.

Colin , we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?
I developed my confidence from being around encouraging people and honing my craft. I don’t think anyone can achieve what they want in life without practicing flow which, can lead to Sprezzatura.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I work in events as my day job and marketing, what I really feel that matters the most and what I am known for is my music. This is how most people identify me is through the art I have created. I have a new album coming out on a prominent record label in my scene so that is something that took years in the making with a lot of individuals who believed in what I was doing. That will be arriving this year 2024 on New Retro Wave records the album is titled Everything’s Temporary.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
I advise going all in, but in addition to that I think you should always work to be more well rounded. Even at my age I can continue to learn, there are so many mentors and forms of learning that I ascribe to. I love knowledge and want to learn as much as possible.

Okay, so before we go, is there anyone you’d like to shoutout for the role they’ve played in helping you develop the essential skills or overcome challenges along the way?
I want to shout a few people, James Meays, Israel Medina, John Kunkel, Ryan Roth, and Brad A. Kinnan have all shown me skills that are valuable.
