Meet Connie Rhae Stover

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Connie Rhae Stover. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Connie Rhae , sincerely appreciate your selflessness in agreeing to discuss your mental health journey and how you overcame and persisted despite the challenges. Please share with our readers how you overcame. For readers, please note this is not medical advice, we are not doctors, you should always consult professionals for advice and that this is merely one person sharing their story and experience.

I’ve suffered with chronic depression since I was very young and it took a while, but I’m now in a really good place in my life. I’ve been able to do this by accepting the fact that I have a mental health condition and that it’s something I will have to deal with my whole life. This acceptance led me to get the help I needed, both in therapy and medication. The skills I learned through dialectical behavior therapy literally saved my life.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

The creation of my shop, Antique Moon Emporium, came from my want to focus on helping others find their own inner light and healing. My main focus is to do this through giving intuitive tarot readings, but also by teaching others about the power of intention setting, crystals, positive energy, shadow work, and all other modalities in which we learn about who we are and the strength we have within us to live our best lives.
Antique Moon Emporium is not only a metaphysical supply store, but also a place where one can participate in many services and classes such as intuitive readings, reiki, divination classes and full moon rituals.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

I think the three most important skills that brought me to where I am today are:
1. the ability to understand and have empathy for those who are struggling in life
2. My ability to teach
3. Finding a spiritual path that has helped me to survive this world!

Is there a particular challenge you are currently facing?

The number one obstacle that I am currently facing is just getting the word out about Antique Moon Emporium and the services that we offer. I think we have a unique and fun atmosphere and offer a safe and healing space. We just need more people to know about it and to come and see us.
I’m trying to get the word out through social media, word-of-mouth and by making connections with people who share the same interests.
We have a website, (www.antiquemoonemporium.com), are on MeetUp, Eventbrite, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and TikTok, and are listed in Yelp, Google and also Nextdoor
