Meet Connor Chase

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Connor Chase. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Connor, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?
I immersed myself in the world of meditation, fascinated by its potential to bring tranquility and growth. As an innovative designer, my journey toward developing Guided began with a vision of AI-driven personalized meditation. The challenge was crafting an app that spoke to individual users’ needs amid a sea of generic options. Drawing from my global UI/UX expertise, I saw the gap clearly.

To overcome the challenge, I delved into AI technologies and user-centric design principles. Through trial, error, and tireless iteration, I fine-tuned the app to seamlessly adapt to users’ emotional states and concerns. As I built Guided, I found my purpose: leveraging technology to provide accessible mental well-being solutions.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I lead Guided, a revolutionary meditation app where AI meets inner peace. What sets us apart? Our avant-garde approach of AI-personalized guided meditation. Unlike competitors, we don’t just claim AI integration – we’ve engineered it into the very fabric of our app.

Guided’s AI creates bespoke meditations, addressing users’ unique needs, emotions, and concerns. At just $4.99 per month, we offer a cost-effective alternative for those seeking deeper mental well-being.

Our strategic partnerships involve AI-based cloning, enabling influencers to lend their voices to Guided’s meditations. This amplifies our reach organically, without relying on traditional social media promotions.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Looking back, three pivotal qualities, skills, and areas of knowledge defined my journey:

a) Visionary Design Thinking: My ability to visualize and create exceptional user interfaces stemmed from a passion for design. I cultivated this skill through hands-on experience across startups and industries, consistently pushing the boundaries of what’s possible.

b) AI Integration Mastery: Embracing AI was transformative. Understanding AI’s capabilities and limitations and how to weave it seamlessly into Guided’s experience was key. This knowledge was honed through dedicated study and practical application.

c) Business Acumen and Entrepreneurship: Founding multiple businesses provided invaluable lessons in strategy, finance, and leadership. My role as CEO at Guided required a nuanced understanding of market gaps, user needs, and monetization models.

For those starting their journey, I advise nurturing a strong vision, embracing new technologies with a willingness to learn, and developing a comprehensive understanding of the business landscape. These qualities, skills, and knowledge areas form the cornerstone of meaningful professional growth.

Do you think it’s better to go all in on our strengths or to try to be more well-rounded by investing effort on improving areas you aren’t as strong in?
Ultimately, a balanced approach is ideal. Leverage strengths to create exceptional work, but invest in improving areas of weakness to become a more versatile and effective professional. It’s this duality that fosters both mastery and adaptability, paving the way for long-term success.
