Meet Cora Sanfilippo

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Cora Sanfilippo. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Cora, thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?

My work ethic really comes from growing up in gymnastics. From a young age, I learned discipline, consistency, and the importance of showing up even when things were hard. I’ve always been Type A, and what used to feel like perfectionism eventually became one of my biggest strengths.

Instead of holding me back, it taught me how to stay organized, pay attention to details, and deliver my best work every time. Those early habits shaped the way I operate today — focused, dependable, and committed to serving my clients at a high level.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

I’m the founder of Social Spritz, a social media agency in Atlanta where I help businesses show up online with strategy, creativity, and organization. I actually started as a small business owner myself, which gives me a unique perspective — I know what the backend really looks like, how overwhelming it can be, and what support founders truly need.

That experience shaped the way I built Social Spritz. I don’t just post content; I create systems, strategy, and structure that make marketing feel easier and more intentional for my clients. What excites me most is helping businesses grow in a way that feels aligned and sustainable.

As I move into 2026, I’m expanding my services, refreshing my brand identity, and building even better tools to support small businesses. Social Spritz is all about helping founders feel confident, understood, and supported online.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

1. Communication
Clear communication has been one of the biggest drivers of my growth. Whether it’s managing clients, collaborating with teams, or setting boundaries, being able to express expectations and ideas clearly makes everything run smoother.
Advice: Practice over-communicating in the beginning — ask clarifying questions, send recaps, and don’t assume people know what you mean. Strong communication is a skill you build through repetition.

2. Not Burning Bridges
This has probably helped me more than anything. Every industry is smaller than it feels, and people remember how you treat them. Some of my biggest opportunties came from relationships I nurtured years prior.
Advice: Even if a situation ends, end it with professionalism. Stay kind, stay consistent, and always choose the long game.

3. Ability to Pivot
Nothing in business goes exactly as planned — especially in the digital world. Being able to adapt quickly, learn new skills, and shift direction without getting stuck has been essential.
Advice: Don’t get too attached to one plan. Stay open, experiment, and let challenges teach you instead of stop you. Pivots are usually where the growth actually happens.

Thanks so much for sharing all these insights with us today. Before we go, is there a book that’s played in important role in your development?

Two books that played a huge role in my personal and professional development are Atomic Habits and The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.

Atomic Habits truly changed the way I think about routines and growth. I always had strong habits, but this book helped me understand how to break old patterns and build new ones in a sustainable way. I use habit stacking daily now — pairing a small new action with something already part of my routine — and it’s made my workflow and consistency so much stronger.

A close second is The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. One concept I carry with me constantly is “seek first to understand.” I’m naturally someone who speaks quickly and jumps in with ideas, but this reminder helps me slow down, listen fully, and understand others before responding. It’s made me a better communicator, collaborator, and leader.

Both books taught me that growth isn’t about dramatic changes — it’s about small, intentional actions and learning to understand others just as much as you understand yourself.
