Meet Corrado Amenta

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Corrado Amenta. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Corrado with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?

I’d trace my work ethic back to my brother. When our dad left, he stepped in and carried a huge weight for our family. I watched him work long hours and never make excuses, and that example showed me what it means to show up and do the right thing no matter the cost. Along the way, I’ve also been blessed with mentors and books that God put in my path. They helped me expand my thinking, raise my standards, and believe I could strive for more. That combination of early example and later guidance is what shaped how I approach life and work today.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

I wear a few different hats. I’m an executive at a tech PR firm where I’ve worked for over 20 years, a photographer and videographer, and most recently the host of a podcast called 615 Unplugged. What excites me most is the chance to connect with people, capture stories, and create something that lasts. Whether it’s telling a client’s story, documenting a moment through a lens, or having a real conversation on the podcast, I love work that feels authentic and has impact.

Right now, the podcast is my newest project. It’s focused on the people, businesses, and stories that make Middle Tennessee what it is today and what it’s becoming tomorrow. It’s been energizing to sit down with local leaders and creatives, shine a light on their journeys, and hopefully build more community in the process.

What ties all of this together for me is legacy. I want my work to matter, to encourage others, and to create a life where my family and I are present, intentional, and making the most of the opportunities God has given us.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

The three qualities that stand out most in my journey are perseverance, self-teaching, and perspective.

Perseverance came from watching my brother work tirelessly and learning that showing up matters more than talent or feelings. There were plenty of times I could have quit or taken the easy way out, but sticking through hard seasons shaped everything for me.

Self-teaching has been huge. I’ve always leaned on books, mentors, and trial and error to figure things out. That ability to pick something up, learn it, and put it into practice has opened doors I never would have planned for.

Perspective is what keeps it all grounded. My faith helps me see beyond the moment and remember what really matters. It also helps me navigate challenges without getting stuck in them.

For someone early in their journey, I’d say: don’t chase shortcuts. Build the muscle of showing up consistently. Read widely and seek out mentors who can stretch your thinking. And keep your values front and center, because success without a foundation won’t last.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?

Yes, I’m always open to the right kind of collaboration. I’m drawn to people who are genuine, community-minded, and passionate about what they do. For the podcast, that means local leaders, business owners, creatives, and anyone with a story that can inspire or help others in Middle Tennessee. On the photography and videography side, I enjoy working with brands and individuals who value storytelling and want to create something meaningful, not just content for the sake of content.

If someone is reading this and feels aligned, the best way to connect is by reaching out through the podcast at [email protected]
or finding me on Instagram at @615unplugged. I love connecting with people who share a vision for building something that lasts.
