Meet Cory3wing Thorell

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Cory3wing Thorell a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Cory3wing, we’re so appreciative of you taking the time to share your nuggets of wisdom with our community. One of the topics we think is most important for folks looking to level up their lives is building up their self-confidence and self-esteem. Can you share how you developed your confidence?

How I Developed My Confidence and Self-Esteem: The Power of GOP

When asked, “How did you develop your confidence and self-esteem?” my journey can be best understood through the concept of GOP: Gift, Offer, Promise. From the very beginning, I made a commitment to never sell or convince anyone again, but to always tell my own deep truth. This approach has been foundational in building my confidence and self-esteem.

1. Owning My Gift
The first step in building confidence was recognizing and owning my unique gift. This gift is the special ability, talent, or insight that only I can bring to the world. It’s the essence of who I am and what I am here to contribute.

How I Discovered My Gift:

Self-Reflection: I took time to reflect on my passions, strengths, and the things that bring me joy. I asked myself, “What do I love doing? What comes naturally to me?”
Feedback from Others: I paid attention to the feedback and compliments I received from others. Often, others can see our gifts more clearly than we can see them ourselves.
Embracing My Uniqueness: I learned to embrace what makes me different rather than trying to fit into someone else’s mold. My unique perspective and skills are what make my gift valuable.
2. Owning My Offer
Once I understood my gift, the next step was to translate that into an offer—a service or product that I could provide to the world. This offer is a direct extension of my gift, shaped by my deep purpose and the change I want to see in the world.

How I Developed My Offer:

Aligning with My Purpose: I ensured that my offer was aligned with my core values and the impact I wanted to make. This alignment made my offer authentic and powerful.
Creating Value: I focused on how my offer could solve problems and meet the needs of others. By creating real value, I became confident in the worth of my offer.
Continuous Improvement: I kept refining my offer based on feedback and results. This iterative process helped me stay confident and assured in what I was providing.
3. Owning My Promise
The final component is owning my promise—the commitment I make to my clients and the world. This promise is about delivering the results I guarantee and standing by my word.

How I Established My Promise:

Clear Results: I clearly defined the results my clients could expect from working with me. This clarity built trust and reinforced my confidence.
Consistency: I consistently delivered on my promises, which strengthened my self-esteem and credibility.
Standing by My Word: I made a commitment to always tell the truth and be transparent. By staying true to my word, I built a reputation of reliability and integrity.
The Impact of GOP on My Confidence and Self-Esteem
By fully embracing my Gift, crafting a meaningful Offer, and standing by my Promise, I developed a strong sense of confidence and self-esteem. This process allowed me to step into who I truly am and make a real difference in the world. It’s an ongoing journey, but each step taken with authenticity and purpose strengthens my belief in myself and the impact I can have.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Looking back, three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in my journey are:

Resilience: Show business taught me the value of resilience. It is where I learned to manifest on demand. In this industry, you cannot say “no,” so you find a way to say “how,” ensuring that the show always opens with all miracles in place, regardless of the limitations of time, money, or skill. Facing challenges head-on and learning to adapt when things don’t go as planned were crucial. Resilience allowed me to navigate the ups and downs, stay committed to my goals, and keep pushing forward despite setbacks.

Empathy and Active Listening: Understanding people deeply is at the heart of effective coaching and healing. Developing empathy and the ability to listen actively helped me connect with clients on a profound level. This skill not only fostered trust but also enabled me to tailor my approach to meet each person’s unique needs.

Integrating Ancient Wisdom with Modern Techniques: My journey on the shamanic path and my work with plant medicines taught me the power of integrating ancient wisdom with modern techniques. This holistic approach allowed me to offer unique, transformative experiences that resonate on multiple levels, blending the old with the new to create a comprehensive healing practice.

Advice for Those Early in Their Journey:

Own Your GOP (Gift, Offer, Promise): Discover and fully embrace your unique gifts, clearly define your offers, and confidently make promises to your clients. Understanding and owning your GOP is magical—it ensures that you are aligned with your true purpose and are offering the best of yourself to the world. It’s a powerful way to create value, build trust, and inspire transformation.

Cultivate Resilience: Embrace challenges as opportunities for growth. Develop a mindset that sees setbacks not as failures, but as learning experiences. Stay committed to your goals, and remember that perseverance is key to overcoming obstacles and achieving success.

Develop Empathy and Listening Skills: Make it a priority to understand others deeply. Practice active listening and be present in your interactions. This will not only enhance your relationships but also make you a more effective coach or healer. Building strong, empathetic connections is foundational to personal and professional success.

Seek Balance and Integration: Don’t be afraid to blend different approaches and wisdom. Whether it’s combining ancient practices with modern techniques or integrating various coaching methodologies, finding a balanced and holistic approach can be incredibly powerful. Stay curious and open to learning from diverse sources, and continually seek ways to enhance and expand your skill set.

By focusing on these areas, you can build a strong foundation for your journey, enhance your ability to support and guide others, and create a fulfilling and impactful career.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?

Absolutely, I am always open to partnering and collaborating with like-minded individuals and organizations. The sorts of folks I am looking to collaborate with include:

Holistic Practitioners and Healers: Individuals who are dedicated to helping others through various healing modalities, whether it be through plant medicines, energy work, hypnotherapy, or other holistic practices. Collaborating with diverse healers can enrich the experiences we offer to our clients and broaden the scope of our healing work.

Coaches and Mentors: Fellow coaches who specialize in personal development, spiritual growth, and professional coaching. By sharing our unique approaches and combining our expertise, we can create more comprehensive and transformative programs for our clients.

Spiritual Leaders and Facilitators: Those who are on a spiritual path and are committed to guiding others on their journeys. I am particularly interested in working with individuals who have experience with ancient wisdom traditions and modern spiritual practices, helping to bridge the gap between the old and the new.

Innovative Thinkers and Creators: People who are passionate about creating new tools, techniques, and approaches that support personal growth and transformation. Whether you are developing new technologies, writing inspiring content, or designing creative workshops, your innovation can help push the boundaries of what we can achieve together.

Community Builders: Individuals who are dedicated to fostering supportive and empowering communities. Creating spaces where people can connect, share, and grow together is a cornerstone of my work, and I am eager to collaborate with those who share this vision.
