We were lucky to catch up with Cosmin Mahadev Singh recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Cosmin Mahadev, we’re so appreciative of you taking the time to share your nuggets of wisdom with our community. One of the topics we think is most important for folks looking to level up their lives is building up their self-confidence and self-esteem. Can you share how you developed your confidence?
I guess all starts are a little harder at the beginning. But then one needs to decide if he’s going to continue that way and just hope that things get easier, or if he changes his attitude, and then everything starts taking off. Because if you change your attitude, that will change your altitude.
When the time came, I had to make a decision. Honestly, there weren’t too many choices, so it was easy from that perspective. The choice was to own it—to walk the walk, to be the real deal! That immediately changed everything and gave me more confidence.
If you breathe it, if you live it, then there are no doubts or second thoughts: you are it. With this mindset, a lot of power comes, along with determination, and things start happening. It’s about embodying what you believe in, fully committing to your path. That’s when you truly begin to see the change and feel the impact of your actions.
The start is always the hardest, but it’s also where the most growth happens. Embrace the challenges, and let them shape you. Remember, changing your attitude can literally elevate you to new heights. Own your journey, be authentic, and the rest will follow.
Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
Well…we all have our story, and sometimes we think that’s very important. I think of more importance is what we do, how we help or serve others, the involvement and dedication one brings to everyday life. I started RYK Yoga and Meditation Center in Las Vegas, NV about 10 years ago with a vision to provide a space, a platform, and the technology for human evolution.
I teach Kundalini Yoga and Meditation, which I see as my ‘specialty’. However, I also offer a lot of personalized offerings. Maybe someone needs guidance on their spiritual path, or has some healing to do – mental, emotional, or physical. The experience I’ve accumulated over the years and seeing the human condition in 360 degrees helps me be of service for any of these needs. Similar to a parent, I am happy seeing my students grow into good, beautiful, powerful human beings.
Besides our regular classes, which are quite unique if you’ve ever attended Kundalini Yoga, we offer Teacher Trainings for those who want to dive deeper into their personal growth and potentially become the next leaders in this field. We also organize Yoga and Meditation Retreats, taking groups to places like India and Bali for profound and fun experiences. And, most recently, we added Meditation Retreats at our RYK Spiritual Retreat and Training Center by Asheville, NC. This new expansion is set in a beautiful environment, surrounded by lush forests, springs, wildlife, with no neighbors or pollution. It’s a piece of heaven on earth, and we look forward to it being the go-to place for authentic teachings and experiences in the traditional art of meditation.
Seeing individuals come into their own power, find peace, and become beacons of light in their communities is what fuels my passion. It’s about creating a ripple effect of positivity and growth, one person at a time.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
On anybody`s journey one of the key ingredients to success is fully believing in yourself. It’s about feeling it in your cells, in your DNA. After all, if you don’t believe in yourself, then how can others? This is where it starts and where it ends. It’s the engine, the fuel for the journey.
Commitment is crucial. If you’ve made a commitment, then commit. Nothing good comes when this is missing. You can’t be changing your mind and trajectory every other day; you’ll just end up being a yo-yo. Instead, be steady, keep up, and the rest will come.
It’s vital to continue to stay open, to learn, to experience, to grow. The moment you say ‘I know,’ you stop evolving. Like mother nature, which moves around us, we should stay flexible, clear-minded, and focused. Do your share, and the rest is provided!
If you’re just starting, work continuously on yourself. Become the best you can be! Time and space will help you, provided you are authentically YOU.

I really enjoy working with people who are starting on their spiritual path. They’re not just curious; they’re hungry. They want to learn, to experience. They feel something is missing from their lives and are actively seeking it. This is a crucial time. Starting on the right path with a solid foundation greatly increases one’s chances of success in their spiritual journey.
Then there are those who have been exploring their spirituality, trying different paths, maybe feeling stuck, still in search of something genuine. It’s a blessing to bring light into their situation, to show them a direction and walk with them on their path. As the old saying goes: when the student is ready, the teacher appears.
Each person’s path is unique, and sometimes all they need is a little guidance to find their way. It’s about helping them see the potential and the beauty of their own inner journey.
Seeing the transformation in someone’s life is incredibly rewarding. When they find what they’ve been seeking, when they have that ‘aha’ moment, it’s not just a breakthrough for them, it’s a confirmation of the power and beauty of the spiritual path.
