Meet Courtnee Ricole

We were lucky to catch up with Courtnee Ricole recently and have shared our conversation below.

Courtnee, thanks so much for taking the time to share your insights and lessons with us today. We’re particularly interested in hearing about how you became such a resilient person. Where do you get your resilience from?

I get my resilience from my Black Queen. My mother did an awesome job as a single parent raising my brother and I.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

I’m recording artist/actor from Indianapolis, IN. Currently, I’m working in the film industry expanding and growing as an artist and actor by standing next to greats known like Tyler Perry. I recently released my sophomore album “Upward Onward” by Courtnee Ricole on multiple platforms. The end goals is to inspire and help people with similar background stories and dreams to accomplish them. I must say none of this would be obtainable if wasn’t for God, remaining humble and resilient, and those who love and support me.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Three qualities is allow your faith to be greater than fears, love yourself and the rest will follow, and always continue education. During high school I had the wildest of dreams exploring my gifts and talents and thankful I graduated high school with my license in cosmetologist, which led to me becoming a successful entrepreneur/business woman. I say this to say nothing is coincidentally it’s all purposeful. Trust the process along the journey because it builds character, endurance, and prepares you for the actual life and dreams you plan to accomplish.
