We recently connected with Courtney Eagle and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Courtney with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?
My work ethic comes from my upbringing and the experiences that shaped me. Growing up, things weren’t always easy financially, and I saw what it was like to go without. My mom did what she could to provide for us, but raising three kids alone is tough no matter the circumstances. Those challenges gave me a strong drive to build something different for myself and my children. I want them to have security, opportunities, and the life I worked hard to create. That motivation fuels everything I do, especially with Eagle & Co Beauty. Hard work is what got me here, and it’s what keeps me going.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I’m the owner of Eagle & Co Beauty, a luxury bridal hair and makeup business dedicated to making brides feel their absolute best on one of the most important days of their lives. My journey into the beauty industry wasn’t just about hair and makeup—it was about creating an experience that makes people feel confident, beautiful, and celebrated.
What sets Eagle & Co Beauty apart is the attention to detail and the personalized approach we bring to every bride. We don’t believe in cookie-cutter beauty; instead, we focus on enhancing each client’s natural features in a way that aligns with their vision and style. From soft, romantic glam to timeless elegance, we ensure every bride feels radiant and confident from the moment they walk down the aisle.
Right now, I’m focused on growing the brand, expanding our reach, and bringing even more luxury beauty experiences to our brides. Whether that’s through new techniques, exclusive bridal beauty packages, or collaborations with top industry professionals, my goal is to continue elevating the experience for every client who chooses Eagle & Co Beauty. It’s an exciting journey, and I’m so proud of what we’re building!

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Looking back, the three qualities that were most impactful in my journey were time management, adaptability, and the ability to build strong connections.
When I first opened Eagle & Co Beauty, it took off so quickly that time management became a crucial skill. I was booked for nine months straight within a month of opening, and balancing that demand with maintaining a high level of service was key. My advice for anyone starting out is to set boundaries early on and learn how to manage your time effectively. It’s easy to get overwhelmed when things take off, but staying organized and having a plan in place will help you maintain balance.
Adaptability also played a huge role. The bridal beauty industry is fast-paced and constantly evolving, so being able to stay on top of trends and adjust when necessary is essential. For anyone starting out, I’d recommend always being open to learning and growing—whether through new techniques, trends, or expanding your knowledge of your clients’ needs.
Finally, building strong relationships has been incredibly valuable. In this industry, trust and word-of-mouth are everything. Brides are trusting you with one of the most important days of their lives, and establishing that trust from the start is key. My advice here is simple: focus on building genuine connections. That trust will help you build a loyal client base, which is so important in a service-based business.

What would you advise – going all in on your strengths or investing on areas where you aren’t as strong to be more well-rounded?
I believe it’s important to go all in on your strengths, but that doesn’t mean you should ignore areas where you’re not as strong—it’s about balance. Focusing on your strengths allows you to leverage what you’re already great at, and that’s where you can create the most impact. When I first started Eagle & Co Beauty, I knew I had a strong sense of design and a passion for making people feel beautiful, so I focused on those aspects to build the business. That’s where my energy and creativity could shine.
At the same time, though, I also recognized the need to grow in other areas, like time management and scaling the business. Even though those weren’t my core strengths, I knew they were necessary for success. So, I invested in learning how to manage high demand and keep everything running smoothly without burning out. The key is to build a strong foundation in your strengths while also being open to growth in areas that will make you more well-rounded as an entrepreneur.
For example, I’m not a natural at balancing my schedule when demand is high, but I learned to prioritize, set boundaries, and delegate. That allowed me to keep my business thriving without feeling overwhelmed. So, while it’s great to lean into your strengths, you also have to be willing to improve where it counts to make sure you’re operating efficiently and sustainably.
