Meet Courtney Faith

We recently connected with Courtney Faith and have shared our conversation below.

Courtney, thank you so much for joining us today. Let’s jump right into something we’re really interested in hearing about from you – being the only one in the room. So many of us find ourselves as the only woman in the room, the only immigrant or the only artist in the room, etc. Can you talk to us about how you have learned to be effective and successful in situations where you are the only one in the room like you?

As a plus-sized woman, I’ve often found myself in rooms where I’m the only one who looks like me, whether in fashion, content creation, or even social situations. It can be daunting, especially when society tends to present one standard of beauty but I’ve learned that it’s not about comparing myself to others, it’s always me versus me. Being different is what sets me apart, it’s my little superpower.

When I step into a room and feel eyes on me, I remind myself that I control the narrative. Instead of assuming people are judging me, I choose to believe they’re captivated by how confident and powerful I am. That mindset shift has been essential to my success. You have to embrace those moments, even if they feel uncomfortable at first. Confidence comes from within, and when you show up owning your space, others will recognize that energy.

Rather than shrinking in those moments, I use them as motivation. I put on my best face, hold my head high, and rock the room. Over time, I’ve realized that the more I own who I am, the more others respond positively—not just to my looks but to my energy, creativity, and talent. Being the only one in the room isn’t a disadvantage—it’s an opportunity to stand out, to shine, and to inspire others to embrace their own uniqueness.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

I’m a content creator and curve model based in Orlando, Florida, and my mission is simple: to create a space where people feel confident in their bodies, no matter what stage of life they’re in. My content focuses on body positivity, self-love, and fashion—showing that style and confidence aren’t limited to one size or shape. It’s all about empowering others to embrace their uniqueness and feel good in their skin.

What excites me the most is how my work resonates with such a diverse audience. It’s more than just sharing beauty tips or fashion advice; it’s about building a community that celebrates individuality. Whether I’m styling an outfit, collaborating with brands like Dove or L’ange Hair, or sharing personal stories, my goal is always to inspire confidence and self-acceptance.

Looking ahead, I’m excited about launching new projects and continuing to create content that uplifts and empowers. My hope is to keep building a space where everyone feels welcome, supported, and inspired to love themselves exactly as they are.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Looking back, the three most impactful qualities in my journey have been consistency, confidence, and authenticity.

1. Consistency: Success doesn’t happen overnight. Staying consistent, even on days when motivation is low, has been crucial to my growth. My advice? Keep showing up, and over time, you’ll see results.

2. Confidence: Confidence grows by pushing yourself out of your comfort zone. Celebrate small wins and keep believing in yourself, even when doubt creeps in.

3. Authenticity: As cheesy as it sounds, be unapologetically you. Authenticity has helped me build genuine connections. When you show up as yourself, your people will find you.

For those starting out, focus on developing these qualities. Don’t get caught up in numbers or views—what matters is the quality of the connections you make. Even if only 20 people see your work, one of those 20 could be the connection to your next big opportunity. Consistency, confidence, and authenticity will carry you through the highs and lows and help you create something truly meaningful.

Before we go, maybe you can tell us a bit about your parents and what you feel was the most impactful thing they did for you?

Not to brag, but for my parents having me so young, I think they truly did a phenomenal job. The most impactful thing they did was push me out of my comfort zone, whether it was trying new foods, hobbies, or sports. I didn’t have to stick with it forever, but I did have to try it. This constant encouragement to explore and experience different things is how I eventually found my passions.

It’s how I discovered I was a creative, which led me to film school. It’s how I found dance, and even how I built friendships. Their support in pushing me to try new things helped me figure out who I am, and I’ll always be grateful for that.
