Courtney, looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?
I get my work ethic from my dad and my love for the internet, technology, and the graphic design world from my mom. She sparked my interest at a very young age by making sure that we always had computers and internet access in our homes from the time that it was made available for individual households. I remember being a little girl excitedly listening to the AOL dial-up tone as I waited to access the internet. As a child, I loved spending time on the computer playing games, surfing the internet, and creating stuff. Then one day our computer started acting funny, so I told my mom. She said that it had a virus, and I said “our computer is sick?” Not only did she explain everything to me as I soaked it all up like a sponge, she fixed the problem. This was before, Google search and YouTube tutorials even existed! She was an engineer and the tech queen of our family and we miss her dearly.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Top 3 qualities most impactful on my journey were vision, faith, and having the courage to innovate my way through each and every growing pain in order to experience growth spurts.

Personal development advice for folks who are early in their journey or need to improve their mindset: Clearly see what you envision and have the faith and courage to lock in, and see it all the way through no matter what your surroundings look like.
