Craig Wayne Boyd and Taylor Boyd, we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?

When my husband and I first met I was an agent at Wilhelmina Models in Los Angeles’ Women’s Division and Craig had won NBC’s The Voice two days prior. By the time we met we had both experienced the super highs and lows of the entertainment industry. I knew what I was signing up for when I fell in love with him and to this day we continue to chase a dream because I have never heard a more consistently powerful and stunning male voice, because our entire family now lives eats and breaths music, and because Craig wants to continue spreading happiness through song. This is in our blood and I am not sure anything would fulfill us like music does so we keep on keepin; on.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

Craig Wayne Boyd is a celebrated country artist who captured America’s heart as the winner of season 7 of The Voice. Representing Team Blake, Boyd’s powerful performances, soulful voice, and authentic charm catapulted him to fame. His breakout single, “My Baby’s Got a Smile on Her Face,” debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart—a rare feat that solidified his place in country music history.

Born and raised in Mesquite, Texas, Boyd grew up with a deep connection to music, particularly country and southern rock. He honed his craft over the years, performing in bars, songwriting, and working tirelessly to make his mark in the music industry. Following his success on The Voice, Boyd has been honored to play the Grand Ole Opry 25+ times, he has shared the stage with Charlie Daniels, Travis Tritt, Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Marshall Tucker Band, Kelsea Ballerini, Blake Shelton etc. and continues touring the world sharing country music.

Beyond his music, Craig Wayne Boyd is a devoted family man. He is married to Taylor Boyd, and together they share five musical kids. The family has taken on the band name BoydsRUs and recently released their first single “Halloween Song”. Music is in their bones and they are excited to create more in the future!

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

God at the center has been huge for our family. When Craig and I don’t see eye to eye we pray on it. When we question our parenting we pray on it. When we need guidance in business we pray on it,

Patience is key. I was oddly born with an abundance of patience and Craig has very little. I tend to calm his nerves with humor or distraction. In return he pushes me to have stronger opinions when I am a little too “go with the flow at times”. Patience really comes in handy in both business and raising a large family.

Stick- to-iit-ive-ness is a word Craig made up and summed up it just means to believe. Chase the dream. Push through the walls. Keep going even when you don’t see the light because if you want to move mountains you first have to be willing to climb a few.

Our life is full of adventures whether we are building ginger bread houses at school or backstage at The Opry. We try to include our five kids whenever possible which has made them incredibly social and well behaved. BoydsRUs would be a hilarious reality show at their ages right now which are 12, 8, 6, 4 and 3. We have all the personalities going on and have so much fun in our daily lives.
