Meet Crosby Dove

We recently connected with Crosby Dove and have shared our conversation below.

Crosby, we’ve been so fortunate to work with so many incredible folks and one common thread we have seen is that those who have built amazing lives for themselves are also often the folks who are most generous. Where do you think your generosity comes from?

My generosity came from being a sensitive and scared kid. I lost my parents at 1 and 5. My safety nets were gone. I found that if you are kind and offer a helping hand to others, the joy from it keeps you going.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

I’ve always had a hard time working for other people. I decided to try photography at 16 and turned it into a career 5 years later. I’m 33 now and have never looked back. My beautiful family (wife and two kids) keep me balanced and push me to go further in my passion as a photographer and be the best husband and dad possible.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Communication, sympathy, and trust. Be kind, and make new connections. You never know when you might need them in life.

What has been your biggest area of growth or improvement in the past 12 months?

Mental and physical health. I see my therapist weekly and go to the gym daily.
