We were lucky to catch up with Crystal Marie recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Crystal, thank you so much for making time for us today. Let’s jump right into a question so many in our community are looking for answers to – how to overcome creativity blocks, writer’s block, etc. We’d love to hear your thoughts or any advice you might have.
A lot of my content is based around what I like in real life .. I love fashion i love taking pictures.. I love doing my makeup I live fitness and I love making people laugh. I’ve learned over the past few years to just figure out how I’m feeling when it’s time to produce content and I just go from there.
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I am a bundle of A lot of things lol. I’ve been in the beauty industry for 10+ years, I’ve trained fitness clients since 2019, I’m currently on my content Creation and influencer journey as well as acting. My focus is just to do what makes me happy and takes care of me financially. I’ve recently developed a love for acting, which is so challenging because i grew up shy and overly anxious but it’s been one of the best decisions Ive ever made. I have 2 indie films I landed lead rolls for that should release this year. I’m also working on set of a indie film as The lead makeup artist. I plan on Auditioning for more rolls this year and working on my own projects for social media as well as collaborating with more like minded hard working creators.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
I’m a very consistent person. When I feel something is for me it’s hard to unsee it, and I always seem to reach my goal! When I’m creating any beauty any fashion content I am very particular on how I want everything to look! It has yo look how I visioned it, and I feel that has played a major role in my success. My advice to anyone who is on the same journey or similar as myself is to never give up! Believe in yourself because that’s the most important job you have everything else will flow organically. And put time into your projects. Create quality content consistently.
How can folks who want to work with you connect?
I’m definitely looking for ppl to collaborate with. I’m looking for ppl who want to act or already have acting experience. Ppl who have a passion for this and want to create a living from their creativity.
