Meet Crystal Valdez

We recently connected with Crystal Valdez and have shared our conversation below.

Crystal , we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.
I’ve always known that my purpose in life was to use my testimony to support others in their healing and recovery journeys. I may not have had the words to specify that early on, but I’ve always known that there was a reason I had to walk through so many difficulty moments so early on in life. As I have matured and strengthened my connection to myself, it’s been made clear to me that I have an assignment on my life that needs to be fulfilled. I’ve reconnected and grown in my relationship with God, which has opened my eyes to so much about myself in ways that sometimes are inexplicable. I am blessed to be positioned by God to provide a safe place for people in Texas to engage in therapeutic services and holistic treatment in my profession. In my personal life, there is a community that has been cultivated around me where I can water others through sharing my trials that turned into testimony. In both spaces, I am also rewarded by being placed in a space to witness incredible healing in so many different people. I am in a season of life where I am intentionally checking in with myself and God to move in respects to the purpose assigned over me, which is to heal, encoruage, and inspire others.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
It’s been around a year since the (mostly virtual) doors to my Therapy and Holistic Wellness Group Practice have opened. It started off as a solo practice where I was providing trauma treatment and facilitating group therapy for adults. As time progressed we have been able to expand and realize the vision of providing holistic wellness treatment for people in Texas. At Dose of Changes, we partner your individual therapy treatment with supplemental services like certified health education, financial advising, group therapy, and community workshops. Our intention is to address all the basic needs to support stability and long-term healing for our clients. We are the space for people who seek to break generational cycles and are looking for a wrap-around approach.
We recently celebrated our One Year Anniversary with a Dual Wellness Workshop and Local Vendors Market.

In May, we have multiple workshops and retreats in the works. We’re collaborating with Ary Retreats to host a Healing Sound Bath Experience at their beautiful ranch in Cumby, TX. We’ve also prepared a “Feed Your Mind” workshop led by our Certified Health Educator, Shannon Roussy- Sanchez!

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
I am always looking for professionals in the Holistic Healing and Wellness Community to partner with. We love to host monthly workshops for the community and our clients. If you are someone who does things such as; acupuncture, sound bath experiences, self care workshops, or other wellness specialities, reach out! The only limit we have is ourselves and I love to bring new ideas to fruition. It’s encouraging, motivating, and a passion of mine. For anyone wanting to partner you can email us at [email protected] or find us on instagram if that’s easier @doseofchangesllc
