We were lucky to catch up with Cuddy Rex recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Cuddy, thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?
I would say my work ethic comes from my parents first and foremost. I am a first generation Haitian. My dad came to the states in the late 70’s and my mom the early 80’s. They came to give me and my sister the best life we can have and you know it costs! Growing up I saw my parents go to work everyday, so it never occured to me to do anything different. My father was a taxi driver and would wake up at like 6am and be out the door by 7am, unless he had to bring me and my sister to school. He wouldn’t come back home no earlier than 1am. Wake up the next day and do it again! With about 2 days off for the entire week. Seeing that growing up made me see what going hard and team no sleep was truly about.
Growing up my mother was a nurse so she would be gone the enitre day as well. Then when she gets home she’s making dinner and or cleaning, or other household duties.
Once I was of age to work it was natural for me to be the same exact way.
So shout out to mom and dad for the work ethic!
Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Thats a pretty insghful question. I’ll give you one from each category just to give us some balance. As for qualities, I would say knowing how to talk to people would be one of the most impactful parts in this journey because people can help you get to where you need to get to building genuine relationships is a Major Key in most businesses like they say it’s not always what you know, but who you know.
With skill, I would say having time management time management is important because only 24 hours in a day and you want to utilize them all but you also want to sleep so you wanna be able to balance your work and life balance . You also don’t wanna stay on one thing one task, one place more than too long.
Finally, for the area of knowledge, I would say tech. Technology is on of the bigggest part of today’s society. You can’t escape it. Everything from setting appointments to promoting business, to basic every day living. So if there was one specific area of knowledge I would suggest people to get comfortable and knowledgeable with tech.
How can folks who want to work with you connect?
