Meet Cynthia Facundo

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Cynthia Facundo a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Cynthia, appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?

I get my resilience from my mother. She always pushed me to keep going even if I failed the first time. So it is something that is natural to me. She lead by example. No matter what life through at her she just kept trying. She was an amazing women and she didn’t even know that.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

I love helping people. This is my way of doing it. Helping people see their potential is very rewarding. One you believe that you can do it, you will do everything to make it happen. Seeing the potential of their own business and hard work shows them anything is possible. I am accountant, coach, therapist all rolled up into one. I focus on learning everything I can about business, behavior and new ideas that are out there. I am a learner, this helps me to share my knowledge with clients.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Adaptability, mindset, empathy, and the thirst for knowledge, Know that you will fail. But don’t see them as failures. See them as a opportunity to learn something. Ok that didn’t work, lets try something different. When things don’t work, that is the space you learn the most. Never stop learning and share your knowledge, will come back to you tenfold.

Alright so to wrap up, who deserves credit for helping you overcome challenges or build some of the essential skills you’ve needed?

So many people that have helped me on my journey, my mother, my business partner, who both have passed away. But I still feel their belief in me. And I have a client, friend and mentor all rolled up into one. He challenges to continue on and learn and do the things that may be hard, but help me to be and do better. Always trying to be the best person and leader I can be.
