We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Cynthia Ramirez a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Cynthia , thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?
I credit my work ethic to my Mexican heritage. I was raised in a culture where hard work, resilience, and pride in your craft are deeply rooted values. Growing up, I was surrounded by people who poured themselves fully into their work, whether in their jobs, homes, or communities. That example shaped me to approach every opportunity with dedication and persistence, and to see challenges as a chance to prove what’s possible. It’s not just about working hard—it’s about honoring the legacy of those who came before me by showing up with excellence and heart.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
My name is Cynthia Ramirez, and I’m a Latina entrepreneur, community builder, and the founder of The Sacred Flame Charcuterie Bar. My business is a mobile grazing experience that brings charcuterie, desserts, and specialty carts to weddings, private parties, corporate events, and community gatherings. What makes it special is that it’s more than food—it’s about creating connection. I design each cart with intention so that people feel welcomed, celebrated, and part of something memorable.
My background as an educator continues to shape how I approach my work. Teaching taught me the value of creativity, adaptability, and building experiences that bring people together, and I carry that into my business every day. I also run Mamacita Vibez, a platform focused on confidence, empowerment, and storytelling for women, especially those navigating challenges like motherhood, career transitions, and healing from cultural or religious trauma. Behind the scenes, I’m working on launching a podcast through this platform to further amplify women’s voices and stories.
What excites me most right now is expanding my work to not only serve events, but also build spaces for women to connect and grow—through pop-up experiences, workshops, and community-centered gatherings. I love blending food, culture, and empowerment into everything I create.
Looking ahead, I’m focused on growing The Sacred Flame into a go-to mobile grazing experience across Texas, while also continuing to build out Mamacita Vibez and bring my podcast vision to life. At the heart of everything I do is my heritage and my community—I want to create spaces where people feel seen, nourished, and inspired.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Even though I’ve only been running The Sacred Flame Charcuterie Bar for about seven months, there are three qualities that have made the biggest impact on my journey so far.
First, resilience. As a new entrepreneur, there are so many moments where things don’t go as planned—events shift, supplies run out, or sales feel slow. I’ve had to remind myself that setbacks aren’t failures, they’re lessons. For anyone just starting out, I’d say: give yourself grace and keep showing up, even when it feels hard.
Second, adaptability. My background as an educator taught me how to think on my feet, and that skill has saved me more than once in business. Whether it’s customizing for a client’s vision or pivoting an idea last-minute, flexibility builds trust and creates opportunities. My advice is to practice looking at challenges as puzzles instead of problems—it changes how you respond.
Third, relationship-building. Networking and community have been just as important as the product I offer. Connecting with other women entrepreneurs, showing up at local events, and building genuine relationships has opened doors for collaborations and clients I never expected. My advice here: don’t underestimate the power of community. Invest in people, not just in marketing, and the growth will follow.
At the end of the day, the best thing you can do early in your journey is focus on progress, not perfection. Every small step adds up, and those qualities—resilience, adaptability, and community—are what help you keep moving forward.

All the wisdom you’ve shared today is sincerely appreciated. Before we go, can you tell us about the main challenge you are currently facing?
The biggest challenge I’m facing right now is navigating the early stages of growth as a new business owner. Since The Sacred Flame Charcuterie Bar is still under a year old, I’m learning how to balance building brand awareness, managing bookings, and streamlining the back-end systems that keep everything running smoothly.
To overcome this, I’ve been investing time in building stronger systems—like automating inquiries and follow-ups—and leaning into networking to get my name out in the community. I’m also giving myself space to learn as I go, rather than expecting perfection right away. Each event teaches me something new, and I’m using those lessons to lay a solid foundation for long-term growth.”
