Meet Dale Mbambi

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Dale Mbambi. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Dale below.

Dale, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?

Financial literacy is something I’ve seen many around me struggle with. Math has always come easy to me though. 2 plus 2 always equals 4. But it’s our emotions that tell us otherwise. Because of my discipline and knack to want to live a different life, I wanted to help other achieve their financial goals by doing unconventional things.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

I am a fully licensed financial advisor as well as a real estate agent. I decided to pursue both to make myself a one stop shop for all things finance related. This is special to me because I am able to help individuals achieve their wealth goals and help people become first time home buyers.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Discipline, ambition, and work ethic were the three skills I needed for me to get to this part of my journey. For me to better myself, I had to do one thing everyday. For example, I go to the gym everyday at 4:30am. Not because I want to. But because I need to conquer my hard. I need to conquer my difficult. The hardest part about the gym is just getting up and going. So everyday I peel myself from my warm and comfortable bed and head to the cold gym. But it’s the best thing I could have ever done.

To close, maybe we can chat about your parents and what they did that was particularly impactful for you?

Both my parents are immigrants. Though they only biologically had 5 kids, they raised 5 others in their home. Watching my parents work overtime, cook, have time for each of us, and not use language or unfamiliarity as a barrier to their success. Today they stand as millionaires and it’s because of their hard work and vision that I’m able to emulate them today.
