Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Dani Sade. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Dani, appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?
That’s a really great question, I honestly use to believe that I got my resilience from failure. Knowing what it feels like to fail and to just get that drive to keep going no matter what. I feel like it motivated me to even more to want to see what the end results will look like for me. I didn’t have it easy growing up and there were times where I just wanted to give up, but I always told my self “Tomorrow could be the day that you win, if you give up now you will never know what winning will look like.” It’s like starting a game, you would want to beat that game. Of course there are challenges that you may come across and it can become frustrating, upsetting, and depressing if you were to loose, but if you give up then how will you know that you will win if don’t keep trying? That’s where that motivation to beat the mission or the level comes in. What makes it fun is taking the time to engage yourself in the game. Everybody struggles, if anyone tells you otherwise it would be a lie. The higher the level, the bigger the challenge. You can’t complain about how difficult the challenge become because without them, life would have no purpose. You have to adapt to your circumstances. Learn how to grow from what you’ve experienced and apply it to your next mission or your next level in life. I like to take a more positive approach and always keep in mind that this too shall pass. Everything is temporary, nothing last forever. Always remain focused and remember to keep going no matter how hard it becomes because tomorrow might be the day that you will succeed. My resilience comes from having a purpose in life and wanting to fulfill that purpose.
Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I am Dani Sade, a plus size model and fashion influencer. I been in the industry for about 4 years consistently. I started out with doing makeup. I used to be a makeup artist/enthusiast. The more trials and tribulations I faced I had realized that I only used it as an outlet versus as something I genuinely wanted to do.
As a child I always had a passion for fashion. I used to have loads of sketchbooks of me drawing different outfits and putting outfits together to create something beautiful. I always found a way to stand out. I never truly wanted to be like anyone else other than myself. The more I became educated on fashion and modeling, the more I realize that I wanted to show others how to be successful in being beautiful. I then wanted to show other women how I can master the art of being confident in self.
As a plus size woman I wasn’t always looked at as the prettiest. I was bullied all my life for the way that I looked. I was always the “fat girl” or “ugly”. It wasn’t until my high school years I truly started to own the way I looked. I started to dress differently than everyone else. I would put outfits together that were very creative to the point where people would start asking me “where did you get that from?” I would always shop for my clothes online versus in stores at different apparels because I knew that no one in my school owned anything that I wore. I became a trendsetter.
When it came to modeling I’ve always been the photogenic type of girl. I love detail. I love understanding the strengths and beauty of my own body, by practicing and posing in front of the camera. I feel like it gives me the freedom to express myself. I can be anyone that I want in front of the camera. It should come naturally not forced. Embracing my beauty means so much to me. You have to love yourself because if you don’t, then how can you expect anyone else to love you?
I have a brand that is called “Rare Rose 2 Riches”. Here is a small introduction to the concept of my brand.
“You know how they say the “black sheep of the family” are normally the ones who break generational curses? We are the ones who bring in generational wealth for our families that we create for ourselves. I will no longer call us the “black sheep”, you are a RARE breed of the most authentic version of yourself. A real ROSE that grew from concrete. We are the ones who build ourselves from the ground up. I want to be the voice for change. I want to help us win. I am now calling you all “Rare Roses”. I am creating a safe space of us to succeed. We are all going to come up together if you’re willing to take action and put in the work.”
My site (www.Rarerose2riches.com) is going to be where you can find all of my ebooks, graphic designs, tools for you to be successful, and I will be adding merch later on down the line. Anything that I’ve dabbled in or became successful in will be on this website. I may not have a huge following at the moment, I am still building myself up, but I know the steps to take to be the face of a brand, or to even get your name out there. Even if you’re an underdog. Underdogs need love too!
Right now, I am working on going to New York fashion week festival. I will be walking the runway, so that’s very exciting! I have 8 tickets to sale in order for me to have a the full experience as a model in the fashion week festival.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful along my journey are:
1. Mastering yourself. Understanding who you are.
-When you learn how to mastering yourself, everything else comes easy. Learn why God/Source/The higher power made you who you are. When master self, you will master authenticity. There are too many people trying to be like everyone else. There is a reason why everyone doesn’t look or sound alike. Everyone was made different for reason. Understand who you are, and what it takes to be you. Learn the pros and cons of yourself. Learn your flaws and own them, get them out the way, but with yourself. Give no one the space and energy to compete with you because it’s a you versus you type of thing. When you master yourself, you will never allow anyone in this world tell you who you are. You can become better at who you learn how to be then who you really are. And that’s where growth comes in. That’s what’s important.
2. Proper Planning and Preparation Prevent Piss Poor Performance.
-You have to start now! Plant the seeds for them to grow. Make a decision on where you want to be in life. Make a decision on who you want to be in life. What direction do you want to go in? Do not procrastinate when it comes to time. Time is our most valuable asset. We can make more money, but we cannot make more time. Prepare yourself for the things that are to come. If you don’t prepare, you’re setting yourself up for failure.
3. Do Not Quit, Do Not Give Up, No Matter How Hard It Gets!
-Tomorrow might be the day that you win. If you were to give up right now, how would you ever know if you ever accomplished what you started. Stay on your path! Never allow anything or anyone trick you out of your spot. You’re going to be mad if you give up because you were closer than you think you are. Success is never gonna be easy. Stay focused and exsit out all distractions. You have to win because failing is not an option.
What has been your biggest area of growth or improvement in the past 12 months?
My biggest area of growth or improvement in the last 12 months was learning survival and learning how to adapt to change. April 17, 2023 I became homeless. I have been living in hotels for almost a year. When I first encountered the situation, I honestly didn’t know what I was gonna do. I didn’t panic, I simply had to adapt to my circumstances. I had to learn to not depend on anyone else, other than myself. No one can save you, but you. I lost so many people that I thought were truly there for me friendships fell apart, family members turned their back, I felt alone. Not everyone will understand. And they’re not meant to. I had to learn to stop putting expectations on people. Just because you’ve done something nice for someone doesn’t mean that they’re going to do the same for you. People are so quick to judge. People will criticize you based off of what they see versus what they actually know. I learned that God will always provide what you need, you will never have to go without if you just have faith. I had to learn how to not stress and worry about things that were no longer in my control. Lastly, I learned to keep going and not give up because I know I will make it out of this. Things happen for you not to you. I had to learn how to redefine success by going through failure. You can’t fall from the floor. Being homeless has taught me how to master resilience.
