Meet Daniel DiCriscio

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Daniel DiCriscio . We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Daniel , we’re so appreciative of you taking the time to share your nuggets of wisdom with our community. One of the topics we think is most important for folks looking to level up their lives is building up their self-confidence and self-esteem. Can you share how you developed your confidence?
I developed my confidence and self esteem from a very young age. I was always “different” from the other boys in school because I was always told I was “beautiful” and sometimes handsome but beautiful is not a usual boy term. My mom would tell me that this was a gift and not to misuse it but use it to my fullest benefit because I was unique. I listened and took this advice and it would always empower me. I also in my adult years say to myself “I am the parent of my own child” which are both parts of me and help me through trying or difficult times. Also, I am Me. I can only do what I can do. Of course there’s always someone better, someone worse, but I am Me which I am very comfortable with, giving me the confidence and a unique edge on the competition that has taken me far on my journey. I am not a copier. I am strong and confident enough to create my own looks, trends, lifestyle, etc and Im not afraid to be the real me.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
What I feel is the most exciting and special about what I do with the many careers I have is to being happiness, joy, direction, and the bringing of people together to enhance, participate, or celebrate who you are and bring out the best in everyone whether through beauty, entertainment, my music, or mentoring LGBTQ youths of today which I was recently awarded with a Certificate of Recognition from the City of Los Angeles for my work and mentorship with the LGBTQ community. I did one of the biggest makeovers in history on Paula Jones during The Clinton Scandal giving me the name “The Messiah of Makeover” and with a list of celeb clients from Pamela Anderson, Stevie Nicks, Faye Resnick, Star Jones, Kato Kaelin, Kim Richards (RHOBH) and more. Keeping America Beautiful is what I call it! Plus Cher and her mom were my very first clients when I arrived in Beverly Hills and still know Cher to this day, I was working at Jose Eber Salon in Beverly Hills on Rodeo Drive (also his assistant at first for a few months) to becoming a top stylist in the corporation and even up for partnership. After my time at Jose Eber i eventually went onto Playboy Magazine doing Faye Resnick’s Playboy cover and pictorial layout and a myriad of other celebs and playmates. I even did Pamela
Anderson’s iconic JFK Jr’s George Magazine cover and layout to her French Playboy cover plus so many other things with Pamela. Tons!
My music brings another form of enjoyment for me with creating and writing all of my songs myself and performing for my fans and the public. I’ve opened for Grace Jones at Paramount Studios to having the RHOOC as my back up dancers at another show to headlining the legendary Whisky a Go Go and Viper Room in West Hollywood. I will be performing very soon at the iconic Rainbow on the famous Sunset Strip. I’ve also studied Law and graduated Cum Laud something I’ve always wanted to do, and also took classes at Harvard. Im very diverse. I have hair care lines in development as we speak because since my hair is my trademark and garners so much attention on its own (which needs it’s on social media page and rep) plus the clientele I have, my hair formulas etc are much needed to an awaiting throng of consumers. I also have new music coming out and all of my music is available on all platforms. All of my music videos are on YouTube. I am also a Lee Strasberg trained actor and have appeared in over 50 tv shows and eight movies. Plus I am working on, almost finished, my memoir tell all coming very soon!! Having billboards in West Hollywood and Times Square NYC were the height for achieving the dream, my dream. I was blown away! Another great moment was winning awards for my show “Trendsetting with Daniel DiCriscio” on Amazon Prime! One of the episodes that won was on Politics with David Eisenhower as my guest! Other episode feature and cover trends happening on social media and more!
I also loved doing TV gig such as commentating on Fox News Channel, ETV Canada on Britney Spears to Bruno with Sacha Baron Cohen, Todd Tv with Bret Michaels and my numerous appearances on TMZ.
Recently for the past two years I’ve ventured into politics. I am currently a committee member of Next Beverly Hills that is a group helmed by the Mayor of Beverly Hills. I have been nominated co-chair of this group twice to my surprise. Maybe Mayor of Beverly Hills next? lol. Who knows, the sky is the limit !
Although most recently I was invited to The White House and Mar a Lago! Who would have ever thought?! I just take it all in stride and am enjoying the ride.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
The advice I would give to embark on this or any journey is to not rush it. It’s all basically timing. I believe though that if you are ready for the opportunity, it will come to you. Sometimes I see people chasing the dream to only be disappointed because it either didn’t pan out or they weren’t ready for the opportunity. I also believe as I’ve stated before “Collaboration produces winners while Competition creates losers.” It’s the ride to success that’s important. Today people want fast results but what good is going through fast and ending fast too? Ya know what I mean? Stability and knowing who you are is what is important. Good attitudes as well. It’s all a mindset. And always remember to be yourself. No need to copy. You being who you are and original is what will set you apart from the rest. Also, take care of yourself; health, happiness, and exercise. You would be surprise at how much this will help you in your journey.

What was the most impactful thing your parents did for you?
The most impactful thing my parents did for me was to allow me to be my true self and encourage me to go with my God given gifts such as beauty, music & enteratinment, and being Me, I was never pressured to be someone or do something that wasn’t me. Im not the boy nextdoor, never was, and my parents knew this from an early age. I also never asked them for guidance all that much. I am kinda rebellious and have my own sights set on things that I have always said was really no one’s business but my own. Although, I remember my parents saying many times to me throughout the years the they were proud of me which really meant a lot to me and would and still does make me emotional, They gave me the freedom to be, look, and become who I am today. Even through times that weren’t that great, I was told from my parents “it could always be worse, be thankful” and they were right looking back.
