Meet Daniela

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Daniela. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Daniela below.

Hi Daniela, so happy to have you with us today and there is so much we want to ask you about. So many of us go through similar pain points throughout our journeys and so hearing about how others developed certain skills or qualities that we are struggling with can be helpful. Along those lines, we’d love to hear from you about how you developed your ability to take risk?

Honestly, I think the biggest leap I ever took was saying yes to a completely different kind of life. Leaving behind the comfort of Miami — our routines, our people, everything we’d built — wasn’t a decision made overnight. It was a slow surrender to something deeper… a whisper from the universe that there was more waiting for us if we were just willing to let go.

I’ve always considered myself brave, but Jo is the epitome of a risk-taker. She doesn’t just jump — she trusts the free fall. Watching her move through the world with that kind of fearless curiosity gave me permission to do the same. She’s my north star when I get stuck in the “what ifs.”

This new venture — living abroad, creating Travel Eat Repeat, building something from scratch while constantly moving — has taught me that risk isn’t a cliff you jump off. It’s a series of quiet decisions to bet on yourself, even when it doesn’t make sense to anyone else.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

Honestly, it’s a lot …in the best way.

I co-operate two full-time ventures: The Stalker Creatives, a creative agency specializing in content, design, and digital storytelling — and dockaboat.app, a platform we built to simplify private dock rentals for the modern boater. Both are wildly different businesses, but they’ve allowed me to blend creativity, systems thinking, and community-building in a way that never gets boring.

What ties everything together is Travel Eat Repeat With Us, which started as a personal love letter to the places we chose to call home — and has grown into a full-blown storytelling platform. It’s opened doors for meaningful brand partnerships, expanded our agency’s client base, and even helped us evolve into a boutique creator management arm, where we now represent a handful of incredible creators. Helping them land deals, build their visual identity, and navigate brand growth has been one of the most unexpected and fulfilling parts of the journey.

Right now, we’re living at Nomio, a digital nomad co-living hub in Kavač, Montenegro — and the environment here is exactly the kind of reset we needed. It’s peaceful, inspiring, and full of people building brave lives. That’s the energy we’re tapping into, both personally and professionally, as we plan our next chapter.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

The three qualities that have shaped me the most are: listening instead of needing the last word, practicing kindness even when it’s hard, and learning the art of patience.

When I was younger, I felt like I could bulldoze my way through life just on drive alone, and honestly, sometimes I did. But over time I’ve realized that being receptive, gentle, and calm in the storm takes far more strength than charging through.

My advice? Let go of your ego. Ambition is beautiful, and having that fire when you’re just starting is a gift, but don’t mistake energy for wisdom. There’s so much value in listening to people who’ve already lived through heartbreak, reinvention, disappointment, and recovery. Let their stories shape you, not just inspire you.

Also: slow down. The best things I’ve built came after I stopped rushing, paid attention, and let life soften me a little. That’s where the real resilience kicks in.

Awesome, really appreciate you opening up with us today and before we close maybe you can share a book recommendation with us. Has there been a book that’s been impactful in your growth and development?

One book that has truly stayed with me, and continues to guide me, is Signs: The Secret Language of the Universe by Laura Lynne Jackson.

After navigating loss after loss over the past year and a half, this book became a kind of emotional lifeline. It helped me find meaning in the quietest, most unexpected moments, and reminded me that the people we love don’t really leave us. Now, I actively look for signs from my people, from my angels, and from the universe. And while that might sound “out there” to some, it’s become something I can’t unlearn; a comfort that grounds me.

I’m endlessly grateful to my friend Amy Sedano for recommending it. That small gesture came at exactly the right time, and now I do the same, paying it forward to anyone I see going through something heavy. Because sometimes all we need is a little sign that we’re not alone.
