Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Daniela Yepez. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Daniela , so happy to have you with us today. You are such a creative person, but have you ever head any sort of creativity block along the way? If so, can you talk to us about how you overcame or beat it?
For an artist/designer is very challenging to have fresh creativity all the time, specially if you have a business around it. Which means that now your mind does not only focuses in creating but now your mind has to deal with so many factors such us personal emotions, administrative work, legal work, financial work and much more. Nevertheless, I do think that each individual eventually will find their own path to succeed and overcome these threads. We also need to be creative in finding these solutions.
For me, the first step to overcome creativity blocks is to accept them and to know that it is ok to slow down. I used to get so frustrated when I wasn’t able to execute and deliver my creation. Sometimes I knew my idea was somewhere in my brain and sometimes not at all. I couldn’t even envision it. I spend hours sitting, trying to do something and it just didn’t happen. That’s when I looked for help and I learnt that it is vital to understand and listen your mind and body.. My mind/body was telling me to stop, to breathe, to redirect. Also, I started looking at these creative blocks from a different perspective. I decided that these moments were something good, like a special wake up call guiding me to modify something in my process for a better good.
On top of that, a crucial aspect, is to allow yourself to receive assistance, to delegate and form a great team. To agree you can’t do it all by yourself is so important, because you need time for inspiration which is the magic to develop your design spark.
Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

KEEP POSTED!
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
The most impactful qualities and skills that were indispensable in my journey were: patience, resilience and empathy with your own-self.
The best advice I could give to people who is starting their own entrepreneurial journey is to be aware that success comes in different ways and in different times. Sometimes, during the process of forming a business you can experience success immediately but while your growing or maintaining it, you will encounter obstacles that will make you feel that you are not succeeding, but actually you are. I have notice that when these moments happen actually means that my bussiness is taking a step higher. Being more successful means more problems but also more gratifications. In these moments of stress is where patience and resilience are very important. Another significant aspect to keep in mind, is that usually, we entrepreneurs tend to be very harsh with ourselves and we just focus on the “bad” things we did. I’ve notice that if I treat myself in a more caring way, everything starts flowing better.
Positivity attracts positive things.
How can folks who want to work with you connect?
