Meet Danielle Boyers

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Danielle Boyers a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Danielle, we’re so appreciative of you taking the time to share your nuggets of wisdom with our community. One of the topics we think is most important for folks looking to level up their lives is building up their self-confidence and self-esteem. Can you share how you developed your confidence?

I developed my confidence and self-esteem by putting myself out there. Witnessing my ability and the skills I had developed over the years, is ultimately what pushed me. My confidence developed once I was proud of myself and stopped comparing myself to others in my field. That’s where it starts, when you actually start believing in yourself and know your worth.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

I am a professional hair & makeup artist, primarily working in the pageant industry with clients of all ages. I love working in the pageant industry, to me, it’s where beauty meets brains. These girls I am glamming are all empowering, extremely smart, bold and accomplished; even the little queens, because in this industry, giving back to the community is implemented early.

It’s a industry that serves and I love serving others. My brand is focused on my client’s looking and feeling like their best-self. Once I am a part of your hair & makeup team, my goal is to help you win.

Since I am a hair & makeup artist, I travel a lot for work and that includes photoshoots as well. Needing updated headshots and photos is essential in the pageantry industry. My studio is finally done and I am hosting my first photoshoot with the amazing Chris Hawks Imaging on April 6th, 2025. It should be a fun shoot and we can’t wait.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

I believe one is the desire to want to be better at your craft. I am constantly learning because the beauty industry is constantly changing. Second, being professional, this is very important. If you want clients to respect you, you first have to earn it and that starts with your communication and how you present yourself. The last thing is my work ethic. If you care enough about your business you will invest and reinvest into yourself. Sometimes that looks like long hours and late work nights but it’s worth it in the end.

My advice is to continue to learn and improve your craft. Be the best at what YOU do. Be professional and work hard towards goals you have set for yourself. Once you hit them, set more. You already proved to yourself you can, so aim higher now.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?

Yes, I am constantly putting myself out there for potential collaborations. I want to continue to work with national queens and photographers who want to make magic happen. In addition, to any national pageant systems who are looking for hair & makeup sponsors or vendors. I would love to do hair & makeup for Miss Michigan, Miss USA and ultimately Miss Universe if given the chance.

I am Michigan based and if anyone is interested in my services please reach me at studiochooielle@gmail.com.
