Meet Danielle Coulanges

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Danielle Coulanges. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

I’m a retired high school teacher turned blogger (One Aging Diva) and YouTuber (D’Auntie Speaks), where I share advice on faith, relationships, self-worth, and life’s twists and turns. My guidance is rooted in lived experience, humor, and grace. I love to help others gain perspective, build confidence, and create more joyful lives by sharing personal stories, interviews and spiritual insights. Think of me as your wise auntie—with the tea and the receipts.

This October I will celebrate the one-year anniversary of the initial release of my relationship guidebook, “Marry Your Best Friend, How to Successfully Date, Connect with Your Life Mate, and Keep It Going Forever.” A re-launch with Barnes & Noble is in the works to reach a new audience of readers.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

The qualities that shaped my journey most are objectivity, persistence, and faith. Success rarely happens overnight—it takes time, learning, trying, and persevering.

Objectivity keeps you grounded. Do you truly have what it takes for this endeavor? That includes both natural ability and acquired knowledge. For example, you may dream of being a ballet dancer, but if a genetic knee issue prevents you from even lifting a leg, no amount of training will fix it. Sometimes the wise move is to recognize limits and pivot.

Persistence fuels the passion that carries you through the inevitable ups and downs. You can’t give up too quickly; growth and progress take time.

Faith is the glue that holds it all together when doubt creeps in. God—and the universe—work on a timing that rarely matches our own, but always unfolds with purpose.
